The “H2O Lip Gloss” by Tarte Cosmetics comes in a rectangular transparent tube with a flat oval applicator brush. The cap is detailed and has a gold ombré and turquoise color. The design also includes texture drops that look like water droplets. The brand and product information are printed in silver on the tube.
Texture:
The product has a thick consistency.
Smell:
The “H2O Lip Gloss” has a faint smell that lingers after application.
Shades Available and Shade Tested:
The lip gloss is available in 7 shades with a shimmer finish and 7 shades that have a high shine finish. We tested the product in “Fiji:” a holographic shimmery shade with blue shift.
Application:
Use the wand to apply the product onto exfoliated lips. You can also layer the “H2O Lip Gloss” on top of your favorite lipstick.
Effect:
The “H2O Lip Gloss” has a wet formula that is not sticky. In fact, the lip gloss coats the lips with a thick layer of product without being uncomfortable. Additionally, the lip gloss does not bleed or feather, on the contrary, it generally holds well. We tested the lip gloss alone and also paired it with a lipstick. We found that the properties of the “H2O Lip Gloss” don’t change from one application to the other. In fact, it is comfortable to wear in both ways. The product has a long staying power: it wears well for hours and only transfers and smudges when eating or drinking which is similar to other glosses. The formula of the “H2O Lip Gloss” is unique in that in contains algae and marine plant extracts to nourish and condition the lips. However, we would recommend exfoliating the lips before application because some shades of the lip gloss are sheer which tends to highlight lip lines.
Price:
The “H2O Lip Gloss” by Tarte Cosmetics sells at $19/4mL which is a median price when compared to other products in the same range like Buxom’s “Full-On Plumping Lip Polish Gloss” which retails at $21/4.4mL and Anastasia Beverly Hills’ “Lip Gloss” which sells at $16/4.7mL. However, the “H2O Lip Gloss” remains cheaper than other products in a different range like Yves Saint Laurent Beauty’s “Glossy Stain Lip Color” which retails at $37/6mL.

Its a nice gloss but i wouldnt recommend paying ghis much money for a gloss you can find similar ones at the drugstore

I got this lip gloss as a gift from my mother when she was in uk.She got me two shades “ out of offuce” “ Sand bar”. regarding these two shades ,this gloss became my addiction since it provides me an illusion as if my lips are so fullfilled and plumped.It is shiny and at the same time non sticky. it does not annoy you if your lips touch each other.You do not feel tingling while applying it.And the shades are amazing for summer especially if you’re having tan.I highly recommend it !!
