The NYX Professional Makeup Epic Ink Liner comes in a black and white cardboard box that showcases the eyeliner with ink dripping out of it to indicate the eyeliner type (Ink Liner). The eyeliner itself is a black pen embossed with the brand name and topped with a cap that encloses the slender and supple brush tip securely.
A liquid formula that allows you to swipe on your eyeliner effortlessly.
This NYX eyeliner was initially released in black only, but soon enough a shade of brown was added to the collection.
Before applying your eyeliner, we advise you to wipe its tip a little after opening it. That’s because it dispenses a lot of product when it comes in contact with the eyelid due to its liquid formula, which can mess up your fine line. So you can control the shape you’re going for by drawing your eyeliner lightly.
We tested out this eyeliner on a daily basis for two months for a casual and a dressy makeup look. What really drew our attention was its highly pigmented color. You will achieve a defined finish right from the very first layer you apply, so there would be no need to redefine your look with another layer. In case you’re going for a thicker line, you can smoothly glide on your eyeliner and layer it up since it takes around a minute and a half to dry out completely.
Upon application, the Epic Ink liner stays in place for no less than 7 hours on your lid without fading out or cracking like most eyeliners do. If you really want to extend its wear, apply a bit of eye primer prior to eyeliner or eye shadow application, hence you can enjoy your day or night out without a single worry.
It’s key to point out that this NYX eyeliner is waterproof. However, we noticed that its effect gradually fades out if your eyes are watery, especially at the edges. So you might need to retouch it at the corners.
The NYX Epic Ink Liner retails in Lebanon at 15.2$ which is comparable to L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Flash Cat Eye sold at 18$ and Pupa Skinny Liner Eyeliner sold at 17$.
