The contour side is nice but the highlighting side is oily feeling would never use it to highlight under my eyes plus its a bit hard to blend

It’s my first contour stick ever!
I think it should be more pigmented , easier to blend and should last longer!

I like that it blends nicely with a damp beautyblender, but i feel that i could use some more color payoff. I usually apply it, blend it, re-apply, reblend then use a foundation atop. Seems to work but takes too much work to perfect.

This contour stick is very difficult to blend, moves around easily, especially when I have foundation on, and doesn’t last for very long, especially with my oily skin.

This contour stick comes with double highlight and contour shade in same stick
The texture is creamy and it is hard to blend
The highlight shade “wjodo metl elto”
I love the fact that the contour shade is not orangy
For me it’s a no the shades by using the stick will mix and everything will be bad
The contour shade is hard to blend and it becomes patchy
For me this contour stick is a no not recommended

It’s a beautiful product. Blends well, easy to use. Loved the idea of the 2 in 1.

I honestly strongly dislike this product. At first look, I thought it’s very helpful and efficient since its a 2 in 1 stick that promises to give your face the desired contour. However, it was not. First it’s not a very brilliant idea to have both shades on one stick since it eventually starts to break and the shades mix out and start looking very bad.
Also, the highlight isn’t easily applicable and quickly disappears, while the contour side gives a muddy/cakey look. Not to mention that both shades aren’t at all easy to blend.
Overall, although it does look practical at first, it isn’t at all and it gets very messy. You’re much better off getting 2 different contour pens.

I have tried this product several times and I really liked it. It is very easy and practical to use especially if someone is not very well experienced in contouring. It blends really well and you can easily define the areas where you want to contour and highlight. It is however only available in few shades but I think it would suit many skintones. The annoying thing about it is that it might shrink from one side more than the other and the 2 sides might blend and intersect with each other. Other than that I think it is amazing and very handy.

I love that the dark color is gray toned and not orange-y, wich is definitely my favorite thing about it .
It is kinda difficult to use and i prefer to get a single contouring stick without the highlighting part.
For the longevity it is greatt and lasted all night.
It is very pigmented and A small smudge is enough. Applying a lot of product on your face will make it look not so natural.

OUR EDITORIAL REVIEW

Packaging:

The Facestudio Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick by Maybelline New York comes in a small thick brown and black pencil shaped tube with a see through lid. The product itself has 2 sides, a light one for highlighting and a dark one for contouring and a V-shaped tip which is not slim enough to allow nose contouring. The bottom of the tube is twistable. We should also mention that this product is fragrance free.

Available Colors:

There are only 2 shades available of this contour stick which are medium and dark.

Texture:

The texture of this contour stick is very thick and creamy allowing it to glide easily on your skin. We don’t recommend it for oily skins or acne prone skins.

Application:

After applying the contour stick directly to the face, we used a wet beauty blender to blend it.

Effect:

We applied this product in 2 simple steps; first of all, we used the dark contouring side along the jawline and hallows of the cheeks then applied the light shade to the top of the cheeks and the bridge of the nose.
We noticed that the product is very thick and difficult to blend so if you use too much it will result in a very smudgy look that can mix all the colors together on your face. The contouring side is much more pigmented than the highlighter side.
It definitely does not leave a natural effect but rather shows very strongly on the face. On the other side, the product lasts up to 16 hours which is definitely better than a powder contour product.

Price:

The Facestudio Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick officially sells at 18.4 USD for a 7g capacity which slightly more expensive than other similar products such as NYX Cosmetics’ “Wonder Stick” retailing for 12 USD.
