OUR EDITORIAL REVIEW

Packaging:

The product comes in a see-through plastic bottle, signed KIKO Milano. Everything we need to know about the product is written in a straightforward matter and black font. It comes in 2 different sizes: 200ml and 400ml which makes it a little difficult to take on trips.

Smell:

The product has a very faint smell which is not overwhelming at all.

Texture:

The texture of this liquid eye and mouth makeup remover is fresh and light

Skin Type Tested On:

The product is suitable for all skin types (as indicated on the front label) and was used on combination skin.

Application:

Before application, it is important to shake the bottle very well to mix the 2 phases together. Then, pour the makeup remover on a regular cotton pad and apply to all areas of your face. There is no need to press too hard as the remover is quite effective and you do not want to irritate your skin, which is thinner around the eyes and the mouth. No rinsing needed post application.

Effect:

Instantly, the solution removes all traces of makeup even the most difficult waterproof products. It can be used on the face, lips and eyes and removes even the most stubborn makeup. At a deeper level, we felt that the skin was ridden of all impurities and that the product left the face feeling clean and refreshed. The micelles that are in the formula act like a magnet in attracting and retaining all impurities for a perfect and deep cleansing action. On top, this product cleanses as well smog i.e. all remnants of pollution which is perfect if you live in a highly polluted country or are exposed on the daily basis to fumes, pollution or other type of smog. When applied, it has no greasy effect on the skin, contrary to some eye makeup removers that can feel a bit too oily. Once the routine is over, the skin feels fresher and cleaner. Unfortunately, the product does not fully hydrate the skin so we suggest to follow the routine with a hydrating cream.

Price:

The retail price for the Kiko Pure Clean Micellar Biphase Water is 16.7$/200ml which is cheaper than products such as Avene micellar lotion sold for 29$/200ml or Huile Démaquillante Micellaire aux Pétales de Rose de NUXE at 19.3$/150ml (i.e. 25.7$/200ml)
