Spray the product onto either a clean face or over your make-up. Keep your mouth and eyes closed during application. Effect: We tested the “Anthelios Mist” on the face and neck. The spray has an extremely lightweight texture and was barely felt on the face. We tested this product on both: bare skin and over our make-up. On bare skin, the sun-spray is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving any white residue. In fact, the product has an invisible matte finish. After application, the face did not feel sticky or oily. Additionally, we did not experience any redness or irritation. When tested over make-up, the “Anthelios Mist" did not smudge the make-up or make the face sticky. It provided an easy solution for protection and it did not make the face feel sticky. We would recommend using this sunscreen for on-the-go lifestyles. In fact, it fits in a handbag easily and can be applied over make-up to ensure sunscreen touch-ups and continued protection. Price: The “Anthelios Mist” retails at an average of $32.4/75 mL which is pricier than similar products like Soskin’s “Spray Solaire Tres Haute Protection SPF 50+” that sells at $19/125 mL and Bioderma’s “Photoderm MAX BRUME SOLAIRE SPF50+” which retails at $40/150 mL.

Texture: This sunscreen has a light but creamy consistency. Smell: The “Anthelios Ultra” has no fragrance. Skin Type: This product is designed for all skin types. Including sun-sensitive and sun-intolerant skin. Effect: When we applied this product as an everyday sunscreen, we found that the skin absorbs it without leaving any white trace. Additionally, the “Anthelios Ultra Sensitive Eyes Innovation Non-Perfumed Cream SPF 50+” did not leave any film on the face. It had a matte finish and did not make the skin look or feel greasy and sticky. If you like applying make-up over your sunscreen, the “Anthelios Ultra” worked as a great primer. The skin also felt soft and hydrated. Additionally, the sunscreen did not sting or burn the eyes when applied on the eye’s contour. Price: The “Anthelios Ultra” retails at $34/50 mL which is comparable to other sunscreens with similar protection like Uriage’s “Bariésun Cream SPF 50+” which sells at $32/50 mL and Avène’s “Very High Protection 50+” which retails at $36/50 mL.

Packaging: The “Hyalu B5” Serum by La Roche-Posay comes in a light blue glass bottle with a white lid. A transparent pipette with a white handle is provided in addition to the bottle to help dispense the serum. Details about the brand and the product are inscribed in black and blue on a white label on the bottle. Skin Type: This product is designed for all skin types. Texture: This product has a gel-like consistency. Smell: The “Hyalu B5” has a strong smell. Application: Using the pipette, dispense the serum from the bottle and apply it on a cleansed face and neck. Avoid the eye-area. Gently massage the product onto your skin. The “Hyalu B5” by La Roche Posay can be used day or night. Effect: We tested this product in the day and at night as part of our skincare regimen. When we applied the serum on the face we felt a cooling sensation. We noticed that the product penetrates the skin almost instantly. After application, there was a burst of hydration felt on the face. The appearance of the face was radiant, and the skin felt supple and soft. When used consistently, the serum smoothed the skin of the face, and made it look fresh and less tired. However, if more than the needed dose is applied, the serum ends up having a sticky finish. Therefore, we recommend applying only one or two drops for the face. While the product is marketed as an anti-aging serum, we found that only some fine lines started to subside after consistent use. So, we recommend using this product as an age-defense product rather than an anti-aging one. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend you consult your dermatologist before using this serum. Price: The “Hyalu B5 ” by La Roche-Posay retails at an average price of $74/30 mL which is pricier than other products with similar effects like Ducray’s “Keracnyl Serum” which sells at $40/30 mL. However, it remains less expensive compared to products in another range like Filagora’s “Hydra-Hyal Serum” which retails at around $91/30 mL.
