Packaging:

The “Lolita Eyeshadow Palette” by Kat Von D has an intricate design that reflects the product’s identity. The palette is rectangular shaped and made from hard cardboard. The product has a distinctive calligraphy design on it with various shades of pink.
The packaging of this eyeshadow palette is different from the usual Kat Von D gothic designs. In fact, the brand and product name are embossed in swirls of pinks and purples on the palette. The product comes with a built-in mirror but no applicator brush. The overall look is feminine.

Texture:

The eyeshadows in the “Lolita Eyeshadow Palette” by Kat Von D have a silky and buttery texture.

Smell:

The product doesn’t have a powerful or distinctive smell.

Shades:

The palette houses 8 matte eyeshadows that vary from different shades of pinks to deep magentas and purples. “Promesa” is a light pale pink, “Besitos” is a dusty rose shade, “Recuerdos” is a medium purple tone, “Hermosura” is a rose, “Con Amor” is a brownish-rose color, “Lolita” is a chestnut rose, “Corazon” is a deep berry color,” and “Eterno” is a rich dark eggplant shade.

Effect:

The “Lolita Eyeshadow Palette” by Kat Von D has a good formula and is of high quality. The shades are very buttery and easy to apply because they are quite smooth. The product blended nicely with the skin and is highly pigmented. In fact, after application, the shades take on a deeper color than the one reflected on the palette.
We found that the eyeshadows of the “Lolita Eyeshadow Palette” are smudge-proof and long-lasting. In fact, they didn’t need any primer to hold and we did not need to reapply our eyeshadow throughout the day.
While the palette does not come with the colors necessary for a smoky eye, the dark shades blended nicely with shimmery tones from other palettes and had a unique color to them.

Price:

The “Lolita Eyeshadow Palette” by Kat Von D retails at $39/8×1.1g which is considered a fair price when compared to other products in a similar range like the “Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette” by Urban Decay which retails at $49/12×1.1g and Nars’ “Ignited Eyeshadow Palette” which sells at $59/12×1.1g. This product remains cheaper than other products in a different range like Lancôme’s “Color Design Eyeshadow Palette” which retails at $50/3.9g.
