The Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops Illuminator by L’Oréal Paris comes in a sleek see-through glass bottle with white writings. It comes along a pipette with a white rubber tip allowing the product to be drawn up by creating a vacuum effect when squeezed.
There are 2 gorgeous shades available of this liquid highlighter; Sparkling Love which is the light one and Loving Peach which the the darker one.
This highlighter comes in liquid form.
We found that dabbing the product with the fingers gave a better result than using a beauty blender as it would absorb most of the product.
We tested this product in the 4 different ways the brand claims it can be used. First way was to mix it with the moisturizer. The result was a very subtle glow that gives you a dewy effect which is great if you don’t want to wear makeup, however, if you want to wear makeup, this way is useless as the highlighter will be covered and hidden by the foundation.
The second way is to mix it with the foundation, This resulted in a soft illuminated effect that gave a very fresh effortless look. The third way was to try it underneath the foundation. It is claimed that this would give a luminous finish and a no-makeup makeup look but we found that the result depends on the coverage of the foundation used.
If you’re using a lightweight foundation this would work. But If you’re using a full coverage foundation it would hide all traces of the highlighter. And lastly, we used it on its own, as a highlighter as a last step. The glow this product gives is out of this world as it is highly pigmented yet looks extremely natural. It also lasts for up to 10 hours without a fixing spray.
The Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops Illuminator officially sells at 23.2 USD for a 14ml capacity which is comparable to Benefit Cosmetics’ “High Beam” liquid highlighter retailing at 26 USD for a capacity of 13ml but stays much more affordable that high end products with the same effect such as the Giorgio Armani “Fluid Sheer” sold for 62 USD for a capacity of 30ml.
