The Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Liquid Foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle with a pump dispenser that is protected by a plastic cap. The pump is of great quality, and its dispenser is very receptive to touch and gives out just the right amount of product. Its cap closes tightly which makes it a travel-friendly.
Available Colors :
The foundation comes in five shades. Unfortunately, the range only caters to lighter skin tones and is not versatile enough for darker complexions.
Texture:
This foundation has a lovely texture which somewhere between liquid and mousse. It’s thick in consistency and does not dry out quickly
Scent:
This foundation is fragrance-free. allowing enough time to blend it properly before it sets.[/paragraph]Application:
For the application, we prepped the skin with a primer then applied the foundation on the cheeks, bridge of the nose, chin and forehead and used a makeup sponge to blend outwards. For a more professional look, we can add another layer and build coverage. In order to make the foundation last longer and especially if the skin is a combination or oily type, use a setting powder or spray to keep everything in place.
Effect:
The foundation gives a full natural and light coverage (that can be built up to medium) while feeling lightweight on the skin making it ideal for daily wear. It evens out the skin tone and blurs out the appearance of large pores and redness. However, it is not very efficient in hiding dark spots or scars, so we added a concealer to the routine prior to the application of the foundation.
Furthermore, this product will protect your skin with a UV protection of SPF 24 PA++. Nevertheless, it is important to point out that this protection will make the skin look ghostly and bland in photographs that are taken during the night as the flash will make the face look much whiter so we recommend to restrict the usage of this foundation to daytime.
Also, we tested the product on oily skin, and it turns out that this is not a great option for as it will melt, transfer, and end up in a mess, especially on hot and humid days When it comes to longevity, the product stayed on for about five to six hours on normal, dry, and combination skin which can be easily extended by adding a primer and a compact to the makeup routine.
Price:
The Dream Satin foundation retails at a price of 20$/30ml which makes it a cheaper alternative in comparison to other similar products such as L’Oréal True Match Liquid foundation at 26$/30ml or as Fenty’s Pro Filter Soft Matte Longwear Foundation at 34$/27ml.

“Been using this for a year now and all I can say is that it’s one of the best foundations ever. It’s not for daily use but if you have an important event, or a sahra you can use it. I absolutely love this foundation. It’s definitely my favorite from the drugstore. It’s very lightweight and blends beautifully into the skin for a very natural looking complexion.
