This product is suitable for all skin types. It is oil free which makes it suitable with oily skin or skin prone to acne. We tested this product on sensitive skin.
Effect:
We tested the “POREfessional Face Primer” by Benefit Cosmetics on its own and under makeup. The product was easy to apply, and its effects were visible within moments of application.
When we tested the “POREfessional Face Primer” on its own, we found that it minimizes the appearance of pores, it reduces redness and the appearance of blemishes and erases fine lines. The product also evened out the skin tone and gave an almost airbrushed effect.
When tested under makeup, the “POREfessional Face Primer” prolonged the hold of makeup and prevented it from fading quickly. It also provided a clear face for makeup application. The product also smoothed out the skin and gave it a nice glow.
We recommend treating primers like instant fix products and not as long-term solutions for the reduction of blemishes. Instead, we recommend a steady moisturizing routine and using face care creams.
Price:
The “POREfessional Face Primer” by Benefit Cosmetics retails at a market price of $45.3/22mL which is pricier than other products in the same range such as Max Factor’s “Miracle Prep” which costs $24/30mL. It is also pricier than products in another range like Maybelline’s “Master Primer” which sells at $12/30mL.

It is a good primer, it makes the skin softer but it does not cover the pores, my pores were still clear and able to see through makeup.

If you girls have oily skin or combination skin –> this is your primer. It honestly does an amazing job! I think the container does fit a lot of product, I have been using mine for a year now and it still hasn’t emptied. I really love it! It mattifies and hides pores perfectly! Make sure to blend it in a tapping motion not swiping motion to get the best effect! I bought mine from the US a year ago but I will most definitely restock it locally once it’s empty!

I love it for my oily skin, perfect on its own and under makeup. Skin feels smooth instantly. Only downside is the price too expensive and doesn’t last long.

I have a combo skin with really really large pores.
This is perfect to minimize the look of pores and to give you the matte makeup finish.
The only con is that it flakes sometimes in cold weather.

Love that it hides my huge pores, mattifies my oily skin, and keeps foundation from caking! Love that it’s also tinted and can be used without foundation on top as well! I generally love 99% of benefit’s products, but this one and the Hoola bronzer take the cake!

One of the best primers i used. Fills in pores and goes unnoticeable under foundation. It has a light scent wich i like and doesn’t leave a cast once blended. My only complaint is that it’s not very mattifying on my oily skin

The best primer ever!! I do have a combination skin with a shiny T-Zone. I have tried so many primers to further hold the make up for a long time, and unfortunately no one works, until i meet the professional primer from Benefit. It proven to be a light on the face, hold the make up for a long time up to 10 hours, minimize of course the pores and gives this flawless finish.

I would give this product a 5. It really minimizes the appearance of your pores and gives a great finish to the skin. The only downfall is that it has a tendency to dry out your skin a little bit.

It really minimizes the pores and it’s not just a sentence to write on the bottle! Perfect texture , i have alot of blackheads on my nose and i usually don’t wear a lot of makeup , so one drop from this primer covers everything 😍

This is a great primer. I have really oily skin and a lot of blackheads. I find that it covers the blackheads, and large pores.. amazing!! It’s works great!! Really hides all my pores and leaves my makeup looking so flawless!!

It leaves my skin feeling softer and more matte, I haven’t used it with makeup yet, so will have to wait and see. But used alone it does actually minimize the look of pores and gives a soft matte look to the skin.
I did not feel that it is THAT special as a primer to match it’s price point. It’s quite expensive for a primer (19$ for the mini tube of 7.5 mL).
However I’m attracted to beautiful packaging and Benefit do know their business when it comes to pretty packages, plus i heard a lot about it that’s why i got it, but I don’t think I would go for it again, I think I would try other primers till I find the one for me.

I was super excited to try this primer out, as I have heard lots of positive reviews about it, but it was a nightmare to ny skin, especially on the cheeks area.
It made my foundation so greasy and didn’t set at all.
It is a good primer, but it didn’t suit my combination skin.

Yes Maya eter was the inspiration for me to try this primer and I fell in love with it. It definitely hides pores and has a nice finish. A makeup artist used it on my face and tbh I loved it but I think there are other primers that have the same effect and are much lower in price!

I am in love with this product! It is one of the best primers i used so far it keeps my skin dry (doesn’t appear oily) and makes my makeup last longer i definitely recommend this to anyone with an oily skin
