The Pure Clean Eyes and Lips makeup remover comes in a liquid form, in a small purple see-through plastic bottle, signed KIKO Milano. The information about the product: what it is, its name and its ingredients are all written down on the bottle in a black light font. The product is quite small, and very practical for travel or even fitting in a small purse for a night out.
The product is branded as suitable for all skin types. Don’t use it on the rest of your face, as it’s best to stick to its intended use, especially if you have an oily skin.
The makeup remover has a very neutral smell, almost undetectable.
The texture of this liquid eye and mouth makeup remover is fresh and light.
The KIKO Milano Pure Clean Eyes and Lips is a two-phased liquid makeup remover that effectively removes makeup from both the eyes and lips. When applied, it has no greasy effect on the skin, contrary to some eye makeup removers that can feel a bit too oily. For application, shake the bottle for a better result, apply with a cotton pad, gently passing it on your eyes and on your lips (using one side for the eyes and another for the lips or two different pads, is best) then rinse with tepid water. There is no need to press too hard as the remover is quite effective and you do not want to irritate your skin, which is thinner around the eyes and the mouth. The brand claims it is a suitable remover for waterproof makeup, which is true!
Once removed, the mouth and eyes areas feel fresher. We did not however feel hydrated, so our advice would be to use a skin care product after removal to nourish both the eyes and lips.
For those who prefer to have a very simple makeup removal routine, a more complete product, which includes skin makeup removal (foundation, blush etc.) would be best advised. However, in the summer, when often eyes and lips are the only makeup needed, we would recommend this product.
The KIKO eyes and lips makeup remover is a good quality low range product, priced on the official KIKO Milano website at 10$ for 125ml (50ml is also sold). Compared to similar range products, it is a bit more expensive then the Absolute Makeup Remover, Eye &Lip by L’Oréal at 7$ for 125ml but it is cheaper than Sephora’s Extra-Gentle Bi-Phase Makeup Remover For Eyes & Lips.
