The “Everlasting Liquid Lipstick” by Kat Von D comes in a unique rock inspired tube. The cap is painted on with tattoo style roses in black and silver and the body of the tube is transparent which reflects the color of the liquid lipstick inside. The product and brand information are printed in silver and black on the lipstick. The packaging is sleek and sturdy.
The “Everlasting Liquid Lipstick” comes in more than 40 different shades that are mostly dark. The collection has some nude and lighter tones, but the focus of the line is on dark reds, mauves, blues and browns.
We tested this lipstick in “Requiem,” a soft lilac shade.
This product has a creamy but liquid texture.
The lipstick has a subtle sweet scent that does not overpower.
The “Everlasting Liquid Lipstick” by Kat Von D dried out completely on the lips. It turned matte instantly without creasing. Unlike other matte lipsticks with thicker formulas, this lipstick is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The product itself does not moisturize the lips, but it doesn’t dry the lips either. In this case, we would recommend that you exfoliate and moisturize the lips to ensure that they are healthy.
We found the applicator to be precise and simple to use when contouring the lips. Although the brand advertises 24-hour coverage, the lasting power of the “Everlasting Liquid Lipstick” is average. In fact, it wears off almost hallway through the day. Still, the lipstick’s fade is subtle, it does not crumble.
The “Everlasting Liquid Lipstick” by Kat Von D retails at an average market price of $20/6.6mL which is a very good price compared with Anastasia Beverly Hills’ “Liquid Lipstick” which retails at $20/3.2mL and NARS’ “Powermatte Lip Pigment” which costs $26/5.5mL. It is also cheaper than other products in a different range like Giorgio Armani Beauty’s “Lip Maestro” which sells at $38/6.5mL.

As much as I love the shades of these liquid lipsticks and how pigmented they are, I have to say they were very drying on my lips. I definitely prefer Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss Crème Lipsticks!
