Packaging:
The original “Better Than Sex Mascara” by Too Faced is packaged in a neat pink metal tube with the product and brand name engraved on it. The waterproof version comes in a blue metal tube with a similar brand and product design. However, the packaging has a water droplet design on the tube which makes it very original. Both products have the same sturdy wand and a long brush with thick hourglass bristles.
Texture:
This product has a creamy and wet consistency.
Smell:
The “Better Than Sex Mascara” doesn’t have any particular smell
Color and Formula:
This mascara is available in both: regular black, and waterproof black.Effect:
We tested both, the regular and waterproof “Better Than Sex Mascaras” for a week. We noticed that both formulas give a thick and bold appearance to the lashes. The effect is almost a fake-lashes effect and is very noticeable. The mascara also makes the eyes look dewy. Because of its effect, the mascara itself is enough for a day look, and it will add edginess to night-time makeup. In fact, the “Better Than Sex Mascara” adds volume to the lashes and gives the impression that the eyes are wider than they are. However, we noticed that both the regular and the waterproof versions of this product get clumpy a few hours after use. Also, because of the wet and creamy consistency, the mascara needs to dry for a good 5 minutes or else it becomes very smudgy. At the end of the day, we noticed flakes of the mascara under our eyes. The waterproof version of the “Better Than Sex Mascara” did have longer-wear and better hold. The mascara was in fact water resistant and did not smudge when we washed our face. It was also challenging to remove with regular makeup remover. We would not recommend the “Better Than Sex Mascara” if you are looking for a natural look.
Price:
The “Better Than Sex Mascara” by Too Faced retails at an average price of $24/8mL which is comparable to other products in the same range such as Benefit Cosmetics’ “BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara.” It is, however, more expensive than Sephora’s “LashCraft Length & Volume Mascara” which sells at $12/9.8 mL.

I love it!it gives an amazing volume to the lashes with an intense black color but it still separated the lashes as if you are not using any mascara.it has became a bit expensive but totally worth it.

This mascara is really good, it gives volume and length and non sticky but it’s a bit expensive compared to other drugstore mascaras that could give you almost similar effect with cheaper price. But for those who can afford it, I really recommend it!!

One of the most important things to me is mascara, even when I don’t want to put any makeup on, I have to put on mascara, SPECIFICALLY THIS ONE! I couldn’t find it in Lebanon, so whenever any of my friends are coming in from abroad, I’d have them get me new ones, even if I have to keep them in stock, just so I wouldn’t run out! Beautiful finish, easy to use, amazing wand, and excellent texture. This is definitely a one-of-a-kind! LOVE IT!

Looks like a have false lashes on
This is literally the best mascara I have used. My lashes look so long, thick and beautiful. It does not smudge and looks great all day. Beautiful black colour😍👌

This mascara is crazy. It has the perfect wand and formula. The results are full voluminous lashes that are curled. It is super black and smudge resistant. You have to wait 3 or 4 applications for your lashes to get used to the wand. I love it!

this is one of my favorite mascaras so far, i tend to use it each and every day due to its easy application, doesn’t smudge and is also easy for beginners, ulike other mascaras this mascara is one of the best out there. i would definitely buy another one!
