Packaging:
The “Highliner Matter Gel Eye Crayon” by Marc Jacobs Beauty comes in two different packaging designs depending on the eyeliner’s finish. The matte, satin and shimmer finishes have a silver body where the color of the eyeliner is reflected in the top section of the pencil. The eyeliner with a glitter finish has a black body with a gradation of the eyeliner’s color going from the upper part of the pencil to the bottom. In both designs, the eyeliner can be sharpened with a built-in sharpener at the bottom of the pencil. The product and brand information are printed in black or silver on the pencil.
Texture:
The product has a gel-like texture.
Smell:
The eyeliner does not have any smell.
Colors Available:
The glitter finish is available in 7 colors. The matte finish is available in 12 colors. The satin finish is available only in black. The shimmer finish is available in 20 colors.
Application:
Glide the pencil on the eyelid to draw a line in your preferred shape. Leave in to dry before applying mascara.
Effect:
We tested the “Highliner Matter Gel Eye Crayon” by Marc Jacobs Beauty in the matte finish lilac color. When we first applied the gel eyeliner, we noticed how easily the product glided on the eyelids. We were able to finish our make-up faster than usual because of the precision of the crayon and how easy it is to use.
The eyeliner color was highly pigmented and made colored eyes pop. Additionally, because of the deep color, we only needed to apply one layer of the product. The “Highliner Matter Gel Eye Crayon” did not smudge or fade throughout the day. It had long wearability and was waterproof, just as advertised by the brand.
We recommend testing the variety of colors available at the store to pick the color that would complement your skin tone and eye color best.
