Packaging:

The “Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base” is packaged in a white tube with a minimalist gold Lancôme logo on it. The applicator brush is made with microfibers and is triangular in shape which makes application easy.

Texture:

The texture of the primer is very creamy.

Smell:

The “Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base” has a subtle smell that is not overpowering.

Application:

Apply a generous coat of the “Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base” on the eyelashes and then apply your mascara of choice.

Effect:

Lancôme’s “Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base” separates the lashes very gently. It coats them with a thin white layer of primer. Due to its creamy texture, the product glided very easily on the eyelashes and did not clump them up. The color of the primer works very well in enriching the mascara. In fact, because it is white, it offers a color contrast to traditional black and brown mascaras which gives them a color boost.

After the first use, we noticed that lashes were instantly fuller and well separated. The “Cils Booster XL Super-Enriching Mascara Base” has a long-wear and prevents the mascara from smudging. With constant use, we noticed that the product provided deep conditioning for the lashes and made them look denser and healthier.

Lancôme states that the primer “maximizes the result of any Lancôme mascara.” This is true, however, the “Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base” also works on any other mascara. The primer dries very fast, so we would recommend applying the mascara over the “Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base” immediately to get the best result.

This mascara primer has a median price compared to other products in the same range.
