    YSL touche eclat

YSL beauty was founded in 1978 by the French Algerian creative Yves Saint Laurent who was inspired by the culture and charms of East and Africa. From fragrances to palettes, he considered the woman as a living white canvas.
The YSL beauty products trademark was from the beginning based on gold cases and intense strong colors which reflects the visualization of the woman as a strong, fierce rebel that searches to stand out in an audience.
    YSL TOUCHE ECLAT CONCEALER
touche eclat concealer from YSL instantly brightens and smooths the skin. What I love about this product is the natural finishing it gives without the oily, cakey or glittery surface. It can be used for all skin types and is guaranteed to last around 8 hours.

I got it few years ago but I didn’t like the coverage of it, so I gave it to my mom, it works perfectly on more mature skins, it doesn’t settle much into the fine lines, it gives the amount of coverage that you need, it layers on most foundations quite well, and lasts all day long.

I love to use this after correcting darkness with a peachy concealer- this is not a concealer, it just helps highlighting and bringing forward parts of your face. I love natural makeup looks and this helps me achieve them very easily. Blendable and feels high end when used!

It’s the best of then all I will never stop using it. A small tip: I usually mix it with lancome effacernes concealer and it’s the best combination ever I suggest everyone to try it

This isnt your typical concealer. Albeit it draws light to certain areas, coverage wise, it doesnt do me much. Love the satiny effect it gives but i wish it had a bit more coverage

Love, love, loveeeee this concealer! Gives a very natural no-makeup makeup look and covers the circles under my eyes. It does require build-up for full coverage, which I don’t mind, but overall, I love using it!

    Useless product

This product is absolutely useless, it doesn’t cover anything, it is allegedly meant to give a glow for the under eyes area but I would rather to go for any banana powder or cream for less pennies. So pricey and comes in two shades. In 2019 to release two shades is not acceptable. Hey boogie brands wake up and work more for inclusivity.

I’ve use this product in the N2 shade, It’s really nice and blends seamlessly on the skin giving a very natural look. It gives a light to medium coverage, so it’s perfect for a natural no-makeup look that lasts for the whole day with no creases or cracks.
It can be used on top of another concealer to give it an extra bright touch and a bit of éclat to it.
On days where I didn’t get enough sleep and had dark circles, I needed another concealer to actually cover my tired eyes.
I definitely recommend using it as it adds a natural glow to face.

OUR EDITORIAL REVIEW

Packaging:

The “Touche Éclat” Highlighter is packaged in a regal gold click-pen with black inscriptions on it. The clicker of the “Touche Eclat Highlighter” is black, to distinguish it from the rest of the pen. The highlighter itself can be pushed through by clicking on the pump which dispenses the product into a built-in brush that has very soft bristles. The packaging is very convenient and elegant.

Shades Available and Shade Tested:

The “Touche Éclat Highlighter” by YSL comes in 12 different shades: 4 of which are fair, 5 medium, and 3 deep shades. We tested the highlighter in “Luminous Ivory.”

Texture:

The texture of the highlighter is very creamy.

Smell:

This product doesn’t have any particular smell.

Application:

After clicking the pen, apply the highlighter on the desired areas (bridge of the nose, brow bones, cheekbones, smile lines, forehead, inner eye corners etc.) on either bare skin or over your foundation. The product can be blended in using fingertips, a beauty blender or a brush.

Effect:

We applied the “Touche Éclat Highlighter” on the bridge of the nose, around the eyes, on the cheekbones, on the contour of the lips, and on the forehead. Using fingertips, we tapped the product gently onto the skin and we noticed that the highlighter blends in very seamlessly.

A few moments after application, the product dried and had a matte finish. Throughout the day, the applied product did not cake or crease. But, because it is primarily a highlighter, the YSL product does not provide full coverage: it only blurs blemishes and has a very natural effect.

Essentially, we felt that the product added glow and luminosity to the skin while defining some of the key features of the face. However, the “Touche Éclat Highlighter” should be used alongside a concealer and not as a replacement to one.

Price:

The “Touche Éclat” Highlighter sells at an average price of $48.4/2.5 mL which is comparable to other products in the same range such as the “Illuminating Highlight Pen” by Tom Ford’s that retails at $54/3.2 mL and Dior’s “Flash Luminizer Radiance Booster Pen” which sells at $40/2.7 mL.
