Masque Après-Soleil is a hair mask by Kérastase especially designed to rehydrate the hair after exposing it to the sun, sand, sea salt or chlorine in a swimming pool.
Packaging:
Kérastase adopts the same elegant design for all mask containers, in a triangular shape with a wide cap that closes tightly. One thing differs between the masks is the color adopted in the design. For the Après-Soleil range, the brand chose the red color, inspired by the hot summer season. The volume of the package is 200ML and there is also a travel package in a smaller size. We note that the color of the mask is remarkable inside the package, as it is not white as usual, but rather yellow to remind us of summer and sun rays.
Smell:
You cannot but enjoy the refreshing scent of this mask, as it combines the fragrance of jasmine and tuberose for an ultimate attraction. Moreover, what we liked the most about its scent, is that it lasts for more than two days on the hair when used with the shampoo from the same range.
Texture:
This mask has a light creamy texture, so when you distribute it on your hair, you will notice how the strands absorb it quickly without leaving any greasy trace.
Hair type:
This mask, like the rest of Après-Soleil range’s products, is suitable for any type of hair constantly exposed to the external factors mentioned before (as sun rays, sand, sea salt or chlorine).
Application:
After washing the hair well with Bain Après-Soleil shampoo, take an amount of the mask with your fingertips and spread it on the strands without getting close to the roots.
If your hair is smooth, leave the mask on your hair for 5 minutes. If your hair is dry and rough, you can leave it longer, for 10 minutes, then rinse it well with lukewarm water.
For better results, we advise you to do the following: Once per week, apply the mask to the strands and wrap your hair with a warm towel, and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb all the moisturizing components in it. Then remove the towel and rinse well.
Effect:
Summer is often associated with dry hair problems, as if it were inevitable. Starting to go out on hot days or to the beach, the hair gradually loses its vitality and becomes more brittle, rough and dry. But we found the solution to this very common problem with Kérastase’s Après-Soleil range.
But, when we use the appropriate products for these environmental conditions, we can save our hair from all harmful factors, plus the hair’s look and health will be increase and become more remarkable. As part of the hair washing routine, we used Bain Après-Soleil shampoo, followed by Masque Après-Soleil, which is rich in coconut water and vitamin E, and has an anti-UV filter.
The shampoo was effective in getting rid of all the deposits that accumulate on the scalp while adding a touch of freshness, and it was integrated with the mask, whose effect was noticeable from the first time of usage. Instead of the dryness that we often suffer from during summer, the hair was remarkably hydrated and the mask enhanced hair shine and reduced frizz when exposed to sea salt or chlorine in the pool.
It’s worth mentioning, that the mask didn’t leave any greasy or oily trace on the hair after rinsing it off.
Thus, do not hesitate to apply this mask after shampooing, if your hair is constantly exposed to the sun or if you go to the beach frequently during the summer. These two products will be the best way to protect your hair from harmful external climate factors while promoting its health at the same time.

This was my first time trying a hair mask. I used to think that since I have oily hair, no mask is even allowed. But since I tried this Kerastase Masque Apres-Soleil, I definitely changed my mind about hair products and treatments. The way I used it on my hair and thought it’s the best for me is by taking a very small quantity on the palm of my hand and apply it to my wet hair, after a shower with the Kerastase Bain Apres Soleil shampoo. It leaves the hair very shiny, hydrated, healthy, and it smells good. It’s definitely recommended in the summer!

This Mask is best applied with a small quantity, put on the palm of your hands and start applying it slowly through your hair,
For me it was best applied while my hair was still wet, if you apply a lot on a dry hair it might give you an oily hair look so be careful,

This mask is a must. After a long day at the beach, 4-5 hours in the salty water and few hours in the sun, i really can’t describe my hair situation, it was so dry and unmanageable, after the shampoo I applied the mask for almost 15 mins, i have long hair so i applied it mid length, it really hydrated my hair even tho in daily basis I don’t have dry hair (I have oily scalp and natural hair, no dye, no hair strengthening treatment)
It’s amazing and I would also recommend it for dry dull hair on regular use.

This hair mask is everything! I’ve used this product after using the shampoo of the same range, and the combo REALLY made a difference! I’d advise you to avoid the roots when applying the mask because of how hydrating it is. I’d personally recommend it for dull hair because the shine it gives is on point!
Disclaimer: you don’t have to expose your hair to the sun nor the beach for you to use the soleil range, because your hair needs this kind of hydration all year round!

As like their other hair masks, this does the job. It leaves your hair smooth and untangled and makes it absolutely easy to brush. The smell of this mask is divine just like the shampoo in this line. After i used the kerastase soleil shampoo i applied a small amount on my hair and leave it for 5 mins then washed with water. I loved it very much, this is the very first time that I don’t suffer from my hair after getting back from the pool. I used to suffer brushing my hair and to deal with the chlorine smell so I even wash it twice daily which is not healthy at all. I have always been a fan of Kerastase products. Whenever I use them, i feel like i’m doing my hair a favor. A couple of weeks ago, I saw a video showcasing the effect of the sun on the hair- and a girl saying Don’t Burn Your Hair. and I started thinking about this ever since.
