Type:
There are 3 different types of “Low Shampoos” which serve different hair types: the “Elvive Extraordinary Oil Low Shampoo” for dry and fragile hair, the “Elvive Colour Protect Low Shampoo” for dry coloured hair and the “Elvive Low Shampoo Total Repair 5” for damaged and sensitized hair.
Tested Shampoo and Hair Type Tested On:
We tested the “Elvive Low Shampoo Total Repair 5” for damaged and sensitized hair. The shampoo was tested on normal hair.
Smell:
The shampoo smelled nice, but it does not overpower.
Texture:
The texture of the shampoo is creamy, non-foaming, and spreads in a buttery way on the hair. The product does not lather up and it feels more like a conditioner than a shampoo.
Effect:
The “Elvive Low Shampoo Total Repair 5” is a shampoo-conditioner hybrid that is sulfate-free. Sulfates are used in most beauty products to lather and clean both the hair and the skin, however, they have been found to be harsh and even aggressive on the skin and hair. The most important aspect of using “sulfate-free” products is that their cleaning efficiency has not been compromised. A component we examined closely while testing the “Elvive Low Shampoo Total Repair 5”.
Upon using the shampoo, we found it to be non-foaming just as advertised, it is also gentle on the hair because of its rich creamy-like texture.
We followed the instructions which recommend 10 to 15 pumps, but we found that the amount to use depends on hair length: If your hair is short you will need less quantity, same for fine hair. and we left the product on for a total of 3 minutes. The shampoo rinsed out easily, however, we found that it is essential to rinse multiple times so that no residue remains. If not, then the hair will appear greasy, like it is coated with some sort of oil, and clumped together. Rinsing with medium heat or even cool water is highly recommended to make sure that the product does not stick to the hair.
If done right, we found that it leaves the hair looking refreshing, clean, and with a nice smell that is distinct. The product is effective and does not compromise on care or cleanliness especially given that it is “sulfate-free.” We particularly noticed the ends of the hair feeling soft and smooth. We tried it without conditioner and found that there was no need for conditioning. If the hair being washed is fine, then we recommend you alternate between the “Elvive Low Shampoo Total Repair 5” and another shampoo of your choosing. This way, the “Low Shampoo” will work more as a treatment for hair repair than a regular every day shampoo.
Price:
“Elvive Low Shampoo Total Repair 5” is sold for $6/400ml. The price of the shampoo is comparable with similar formulas like the “Pantene Pro-V Gold Series Deep-Hydrating Co-Wash Shampoo” which sells at $10/450ml.

The smell is great, the lack of foam is little weird but actually is healthier for the hair. The only problem is that my hair gets oily very fast and I don’t feel that gets smooth like it should.

I love the packaging since it has a pumps which makes application easy. Very affordable shampoo with nice smell but it doesn’t power up much since it’s low in sulphate and many other types of chemicals available on other hair care products . I’ve been using this shampoo for two years, it is different shampoo experience since it has no foam first you feel weird feeling since we all are used to shampoos with foam but then you change your whole idea about shampoos because your hair will totally be clean!! This shampoo is great since it is creamy, smells good, leaves hair hydrated. I am using the red one color protect its price is affordable for this shampoo also can substitute conditioner and hair cream. The only one problem is that it doesn’t really protect color.

I am using the Extraordinary oil type and love it a lot.. you leave it 3 to 5 minutes on your hair and you can feel that your dry hair will become smoother and softer. The shampoo is soft and light. I do not need a conditionner. For better results use the Elvive extraordinary oil serum after shower.

Ive been using this shampoo for a month now and I’m loving it more with every wash. I love the packaging since it has a pumps which makes application easy. First time ever using the Elvive low shampoo and I am so glad I got to try it.
When I first received it, my friend whose hair is very similar to mine screamed how much she loves this. So I was very excited to use it and now I know the reason behind her enthusiasm.
The packaging is nice. The bottle is medium sized and comes with a very handy pump. The texture of the shampoo is very similar to a conditioner texture. The smell is amazing. The only disadvantage is the fact that no matter how much you knead it on your hair. No foam will appear.. The best thing about it is that it gives instant smoothness to the hair and scalp and detangle the hair really fast. So for a curly head like myself. this is an awesome option. No need to use conditioner on the hair after using this shampoo. definitely purchasing again

The low shampoo’s packaging is amazing. Personally, I love the ones that have pumps because in this way you don’t exceed the amount of shampoo in this case between 3 to 5 pumps is enough since it doesn’t foam. It feels more like a conditioner because it softens and smooths the hear. With Elvive’s Low Shampoo no need to use conditioner anymore. If you use it in the wrong way you might feel that your hair roots are not clean especially if your hair scalp is oily like mine. In my opinion, people with oily hair scalp like me can’t use this product too often cause it doesn’t clean your roots 100%; you feel as if the oil is still in your hair. Although I have used most of the shampoos and there is no specific shampoo that treats your oily hair problem. I wash my hair every day and no shampoo cured this issue. But people who don’t have oily scalp must try and use it because it’s very beneficial to your hair as there is no sulfate and you don’t need to add conditionar as it already gives softness to our hair.

I don’t usually purchase 3 in 1 shampoo because it doesn’t give me the conditioning I need given my hair is so dry and tangled. However, this one did, its texture is very gentle and my hair detangled easier and was much silkier after it.
The product doesn’t foam since it doesn’t have sulfate in it so don’t let it fool you, 3-4 pumps I think are more than enough to cover medium to long hair and really, I’ve been using the product on average 3-4 times a week for a month now and the bottle is still half full.
I straighten my hair every day and I can honestly say that this shampoo, followed by the Elvive Extraordinary Hair Serum, does wonders to your hair!

I have been using this shampoo for a while to give my honest review. I can definitely say that is a total repair and while using it i didnt need to apply any conditioner nor a mask. The weird thibg is that it did clean my hair throughly without any foam ehich is something i wasnt used to at the beginning but is definitely a better alternative! I definitely recommend this and give it time to get used to a foamless shower 😍👍🏻

I used this shampoo many times and it feels good because it makes my hair very soft. But before using it i usually use a shampoo to clean my hair because the elvive total repair 5 isn’t for cleaning the hair, it’s to repair the hair and make it soft as well. Soooo, i have mixed feelings about this,
It is a creamy shampoo which does not create foam like other shampoos do, and the texture is basically like a conditioner.
The thing is it did clean my hair, it did make my hair smooth afterwards and i did not have to use neither a conditioner nor a mask while using it ..
However, i did not like the fact that it is not foamy, don’t know maybe i just like the feeling of foam or it makes me feel like it’s cleaning better ! If this makes sense
So if you are not as obsessed with foam as i am, this is definitely for you, but i don’t think i will be repurchasing honestly 🙄

Okay i know having a lather isnt very healthy for your hair and that a sulfate free shampoo is way healthier, but i personally enjoy a good foam full lather, feels like a real shower.
My hair didnt feel as clean as when useing a normal sulfate full shampoo, but i cant deny that my hair felt softer and smoother.
Maybe its a good option for summer when you go to the beach and shower your hair every day.

I have soooo many thoughts about this product and I won’t hesitate to share all my ideas.
1st of all: PACKAGING: not bad. It’s a big container with a pump. The colors are suitable and catchy, plus, red is my favorite color.
2nd: TYPE: I tested the Total Repair 5 Low Shampoo for damaged and sensitized hair. I am naturally a brunette, however, I dyed my hair blonde. It killed every sense of “health” in it and it was purely damaged and it was constantly shedding.
3rd: SMELL: I had no problem with the smell since the scent was neither repulsive nor strong.
4th: EFFECT: At first, I wasn’t that comfortable with the absence of foam since I’m used to foamy shampoos, so it felt kinda weird to use a foam-free shampoo. However, once I applied it to my hair, I instantly felt a change. It smoothed it out directly. It is very gentle and the aspect of “sulfate free” is definitely needed for my damaged hair. I did not feel the urge to use a conditioner after applying it, thus, my shower time shrunk. I needed a product that would hand my hair its health back, and it did. Very smooth, easy to use, and its creamy-like texture made it a pleasing experience to me. This was my first time using this product and definitely not the last time. The only negative comment about this product is that I need to pump a lot of product to use on my hair due to the absence of foam. Other than that, I’m just in love with it.
5th: PRICE: It is sold for 6$/400 ml which is very affordable to buy.

Actually this product was disappointing for me . My hair is naturally oily . this shapoo to be honest did clean my hair , was gentle and everything but sadly it didn’t suite my oils at all . After few hours of my bath I had to re-wash my hair again cause it was producing so many oils as if i haven’t washed it for few days.
i know that this shampoo worked perfectly for other hair types but one thing I’m sure about is that this is not the kind of shampoo you can use for oily hairs . And basically i guess the reason is because of its structure (the structure is very close to a conditioner not a typical shampoo)

I’ve been using this product for a while now. The first time I tried it, I wasn’t really sure if it really did clean my hair or not because I’m used to foamy shampoo. Its texture is very much like conditioner and it smells amazing; even after you’ve finished washing and drying your hair, the smell lasts for hours. It really does clean your hair just like regular shampoo does but without the foam, which is good because I heard that foamy shampoo isn’t the ideal choice.
I’ve never dyed my hair, so I can’t really say anything about it making the dye last longer, but my mom tried it and she said that her hair dye lasted a week longer than it usually does after using this shampoo, so I guess that’s that.
I have naturally straight hair but it gets tangled easily so I usually use conditioner to brush it, but I stopped ever since I started using Elvive Low Shampoo and it made my hair even straighter, smoother and shinier. I really recommend this product especially for people who have dyed, dry, or easily-tangled hair. It really has amazing results.

My first time trial with this shampoo was before getting it in the Ounousa box. The name attracted me, anything with less harsh chemicals is always better to use. The texture felt weird at first since it doesn’t lather like normal shampoos do, it was more like showering with a conditioner but then I really got used to it and my hair was very clean and perfectly moisturized. My hair type is more like normal to dry so the moisturization suited me very well, therefore I’m not sure for the ones that have oily hair if it will work out with them.

To be honest, when i first used the Elvive Low Shampoo, i wasn’t sure that i will get a clean and silky hair. I used to think that the foam is the element that cleanse hair. So i was surprised by its gentle and creamy texture, easy to rinse, and leaves the hair smooth,silky and shiny after shampoo. This shampoo is perfect for my dry and wavy hair, but remember that you have to rinse it well with water! I totally recommend it!

I have curly colored hair so i am always really careful with what i use. Low shampoo is a shampoo without sulfates, which dries hair by eliminating all the good oils from the hair. It’s a bit weird not to have foam when using it, but trust me, your hair will thank you!
I highly recommend this shampoo as it rendered my hair healthy and my curls soft and shiny!

To tell you the truth, when I first used it, the non-foamy effect it had, shocked me a bit. I never thought that no foam = clean hair. HOWEVER, I saw results after the first time I used it. Easily pumped shampoo from the bottle. Highly recommended especially for colored hair. I have blonde highlights and I struggle every time with the yellow color that appears due to the high sulfate found in the normal shampoo. Nevertheless with Elvive Low Shampoo my blonde hair kept its color! Furthermore, it rendered my hair soft. After spreading the creamy shampoo all over my hair, it helped that I left it in for about 2 minutes then scrubbing it. Highly reccomended!

This product is just amazing. I use the total repair shampoo when i want to give my hair a little boost after Being brushed and ironed for a day or two. I had an amazing experience as its my first time using a low shampoo i didnt expect the results i was shocked. First it has a very nice smell i used the red one for colored hair, second the texture is thick as if you are applying a conditionner not a shampoo. It leaves the hair so fresh. It has to be rinced very good or the hair will be greasy. Im now switching my shampoo to this one. I have damaged colored hair and im always using conditionner after the shampoo, with this low shampoo im not using conditionner anymore, no need since it gives the hair a silky feeling and a very nice shine. I really loved its smell. The texture is creamy and it is easily applied to the hair. It really moisturize the hair and make it look healthier. I really love that it is sulfate free, where a s a pharmacist I know that Sulfate-free cleansers keep the natural oils on the scalp and hair, which leaves the hair with more moisture and also reduce irritation. So it is perfect for dry or frizzy hair like me. I highly recommend

I’ve switched my ordinary shampoo to this. I ain’t using any other shampoos anymore seriously. This is a life savior truly. As the ounousa Reviews team claimed, it might leave ur hair greasy if you do not wash it right. But, if you rinse your hair several times you won’t face that problem. -سهل الاستخدام من حيث يمكن التحكم يالكمية التي يحتاجها شعري من خلال المضخة الموجودة اعلى العبوة
-بسبب تركيبته الخالية من الكبريت لم اتوقع الحسول على رغوة , ولكن انا افضل دائما الرغوة خصيصا بالشامبو

As an experienced person in ” finding the perfect conditioner for dry & damaged hair” I can give 5 stars rate for this amazing low shampoo.
I tried it as shampoo but honestly i was not satisfied with cleanliness of my head, so i advice u to use it as a conditioner after using “elvive shampoo”, and for women who have oily head skin, avoid putting it on the racine. Just dry ur hair and enjoy the silky feeling of your hair!!
I am using it since 15 days and i noticed a big improvement in my hair, no more dryness & no need for using sechoir or babylisse to improve the look.

First the packaging is amazing and I’m in love with the pump so u can use the exact amount u need with no drama 😂

First when I received it I look in the information it’s for dry hair and damaged colored hair “oh yeah this is for me” and knowing that it’s sulfate free and foam free made me so curious to see how it will work…
So far it’s amazing I used as recommended 15 pump and leave it for 3 min then rinse very well
I used to use half of conditioner bottle after shampoo and then I use creams after bath to comb my dry hair with this shampoo I didn’t even used my conditioner it leave the hair silky and mosturized no foam just apply then rinse well so u don’t have any resedue

Well I never dye my hair but my mum tried it because she always dyes her hair in red-brownish colors. She usually doesn’t really shower a lot fearing the discoloration due to shampoos. But when I gave it to her to try it, she unexpectedly noticed that the color of the hair did not go with the water. Honestly i used this shampoo once not because it’s bad no it was very good but, i recommend it to the ones who has dry hair type ,but for me as a person who have an oily hair type i just used it as a conditioner and it was amazing it did the job of a conditioner( no more little curls, no more baby hair, and no more damaged hair)

It does it job but I’m not comfortable to use non foam shampoo

Okayy so this shampoo is one of my favorite shampoos I had ever used استعملت. كذا شامبو أعالج. شعري بس متل نضارة. م جمال هيدا الشامبو ما شفت أولاً بيعطي نتيجة. سريعة و بحسن الشعر بشكل كتير حلو يعطي معالجة كاملة ٣ ب ١ ينعم الشعر تنعيم عميق يعطي تنظيف لطيف للشعر يخفف من تساقط الشعر انا بنصح بهيدا الشامبو لكل شخص بعاني من. مشاكل بشعور يختار الشامبو المناسب من L’Oréal elvive

“I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first when it came to the fact that it is a non-foam shampoo, especially that ever since we were kids, we were told that we needed to keep washing our hair until the shampoo would really foam or else our hair wouldn’t be clean. But this shampoo changed my mind on the topic, it might not foam but it truly does a deep cleaning. I have wavy hair that is very hard to comb but after using this shampoo for almost 2 months now, my hair is so much softer and the ends feel super hydrated and smooth and people around me noticed this. So far I have recommended this product to my entire family and all my friends so give it a go ladies you’ll be satisfied I assure you!”

هيدا المنتج رائع ليلي شعرن ناشف او فاقد اللمعة، بيطري الشعر و بيمنع التنكيش، ما بيحتاج لبلسم او اي زيت من بعدو. مشكلتو الوحيدة انو بدو كتير غسل عميق للشعر او بيبقى ببين الشعر مزيت اذا ما اتنضف منيح . حاليا عمبستعملو و كتير مبسوطة من النتيجة لان شعري بطل ينكش و بقدر اتحمم و اضهر بدون اي سشوار او تمليس .
