Packaging:
The BB Cream comes in a big sleek golden tube on which the essential information such as the product properties and application method are embossed. Its packaging makes it practical and easy to use seeing that it was designed for quick beauty routines. We advise you to store this tube horizontally in your drawer or on your make-up vanity in order to prevent any leakage upon opening.
Smell:
Garnier’s BB Cream gives off a faint, pleasant smell upon application.
Available Colors:
This product is available in two different shades only: Light and Medium. Although Medium has a darker shade to it, it is more suitable for tan or moderately brown skin.
Skin Type:
Garnier does not make any remarks regarding skin type on the packaging. It is indicated, however, that all their products are dermatologist and ophthalmologist-tested to be suitable for all types of skin, even sensitive.
Texture:
A light-weight creamy formula that allows it to blend well into the skin.
Application:
You can apply this cream using either a foundation sponge or brush as it is quite easy to spread on the face.
Effect:
We tested the Garnier BB Cream for a month on both normal and oily skin types. It worked better for normal skin as it effectively and naturally concealed all the blemishes and added radiance to it. Our skin tone also seemed evened out, only requiring a touch of concealer around the eyes to complete our daily make-up look. You can also manage without sunscreen if you don’t spend a lot of time exposed to it since this BB Cream already contains a Sun Protection Factor of 15.
As for hydration, this BB Cream cannot completely replace moisturizer, but it certainly does help in limiting skin dryness resulting from the factors it is exposed to throughout the day.
Keep in mind that this BB Cream can get runny in high temperatures, so it’s best that you set it with powder in case you’re exposed to such weather circumstances. If the weather is mild in temperature or you’re staying in an air-conditioned place, the effect of this cream will last you for around 6 hours even though Garnier indicates that it lasts for 12 hours on the package.
On the other hand, this BB Cream didn’t work well on oily skin, as it aggravated the oiliness throughout the day after the cream was applied in the morning. We also noticed that it caused skin irritation in the evening while removing it.
However, Garnier has released another oil-free BB Cream specialized for oily and combination skin, so you can try it instead of Classic one.
Price:
The Garnier SkinActive BB Cream Classic retails at 12 USD for a 50 ml capacity in Lebanon. It is similar in price to the Nivea BB Cream, which also retails at 12.8 USD for the same capacity in Lebanon. However, it’s less pricy then other BB Creams such as the L’Oreal Paris Nude Magic BB Cream which is sold for 17.4 USD per 30 ml.

This one is my favorite daily use cream! It’s perfect for work, college, school.. since i don’t like thick foundations, this cream has a low coverage on the skin and at the same time it hides imperfections and unifies the skin tone, it leaves a shiny glow to your skin without getting it oily, a velvet texture i love this one ❤️

“3 starts because this BB cream went very greasy on my face. Even my setting it with powder, the greasiness did not go. Plus there is only 2 shades of it so it does not match all skin types. Its either too dark or too light. I honestly used it only during summer at the beach to prevent its discoloration and greasiness.”

My least favorite beauty product. I bought this and regretted it instantly . The texture wasn’t nice. The color didn’t seem to fit my skin and even made my face oily. Although a BB cream shouldn’t do that. And it made my makeup run all over my face

“Since I have a combo sensitive skin with dry patches around my mouth and on cheeks, so many foundations does not work properly,(either because they are scented or creasing on dry patches). This worked heavenly for me. The only con is the lack of shade range. I have a very fair complexion, and the light shade is darker than my skin tone. “This BB cream is really lightweight on the skin, that after putting it you don’t feel that your skin is creamy or anything! It’s extremely easy to apply, and the size is perfect that you can take it with you anywhere. Just apply a bit of it on a brush or hand, and blend it really well on your skin, and you will have a flawless skin!
