The “10HR Wear Perfection Foundation” by Sephora Collection comes in a sturdy transparent glass bottle with a black dispenser pump and black cap.
The packaging is simple and elegant. The nozzle dispenses just the right amount of product and the cap ensures that the product is secured for traveling. The brand and product information are inscribed in black on the bottle.
Texture:
This foundation has a very smooth and creamy texture with a slightly thick consistency.
Smell:
The product has a mild smell that is not overpowering.
Shades Available and Shade Tested:
The “10HR Wear Perfection Foundation” comes in more than 20 different shades that range from light porcelain to ivory and expresso.
We tested this foundation in “8 Light Ivory.”Application:
The brand recommends applying four small dabs of the foundation on the cheeks, chin and forehead. Using a foundation brush, blend the product from the center of the face outward and toward the neck. Finish by patting the foundation gently to get rid of any visible lines. The foundation can also be applied using the fingers or a beauty blender sponge.
Effect:
We found that the “10HR Wear Perfection Foundation” by Sephora Collection is easy to apply and dries quickly. Because of that, it is easy to build layers. The foundation has really good coverage, however, it does not hide pores or blemishes very well when using one layer only.
The foundation isn’t really hydrating, so it tended to dry the skin throughout the day when applied without a moisturizer underneath. The “10HR Wear Perfection Foundation” was not convenient for oily skin testers because it oxidized a few hours after application and did not control the shine on the t-zone for long.
Overall, the foundation provides a natural finish with buildable coverage that is long-lasting. However, we recommend applying this product with a moisturizer to ensure that the skin is hydrated.
Price:
The “10HR Wear Perfection Foundation” by Sephora Collection retails at $20/23.8g which is pricier than other products in the same range such as L’Oréal Paris’ “Infallible Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation” which sells at $14.9/28.3g and NYX Professional Makeup’s “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation” which retails at $15/28.3g. This foundation remains cheaper, however, than other products in a different range like MAC’s “Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 Foundation” which sells at $30/28.3g.
