L’Oréal Paris offers 5 different “Pure Clay Masks” While all products contain a mixture of 3 pure clays, each targets a specific issue and is customized accordingly. The charcoal mask detoxifies and brightens the face, the yuzu lemon mask clarifies and smoothens the skin, the marine algae mask promises to clear black heads and tighten pores, the eucalyptus mask is for oily skin and promises to mattify and purify it, and the red algae mask unclogs and shrinks pores all the while exfoliating the face.

Texture:
The mask has a thick texture, it is dough-like and has a dense creamy consistency to it.
Scent:
The mask smells very earthy.
Application:
Open the secure lid and apply an even layer all over your make-up free and dry face. Apply the mask while avoiding the eye and lip areas. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes and then remove the mask by using lukewarm water. It is recommended that the mask be used 2 times per week.
Effect:
The mask was very easy to apply with the fingers because it glides effortlessly. After leaving it on for 10 minutes, we noticed that the mask does not dry completely, and it is easy to remove using lukewarm water. The mask left the skin feeling fresh, soft and smooth even after the first use. Oily nose felt clean and dry. As soon as we washed the mask off, we felt a cooling sensation on the face.
L’Oréal’s claim that the face will look neat after 10 minutes is true. L’Oréal also recommends using the product 2 times/week, which we did. We noticed results after the first round, and with the second round we felt as though our skin had a deep cleansing session. For those of you with irritable skin or any skin conditions, we highly recommend consulting your dermatologist before incorporating this mask into your weekly regimen.

I tried the pure clay glow mask (brightens, exfoliates) which is colored orange/light brown. It smoothes out the skin in a beautiful way and makes the skin glow! Easy to apply, easy to remove, needs a short amount of time (only 5-10 minutes) and affordable. Recommended.

The blue one is great to be used as a treatment for black and white heads. i use it twice per weeks on my T zone and after a few weeks i noticed the difference. The red one is a good scrub.. makes your skin feel refreshed and smooth

I use this when my skin looks dull and tired and I can wholeheartedly say it’s a good product that performs as it advertises. It could leave the skin a bit dry because it cleaned quite deeply so I recommend using a thick moisturizer afterwards to prevent any excess oil and to hydrate your skin. Overall good, cheap, and easy to use product.

I definitely love this mask !!
I am making it a routine to apply it once per week. It is charcoal- based, as indicated by its name. Charcoal has the ability to tighten the skin and brighten it. I recommend washing it off with warm water to easily clean it off. Make sure you moisturize your skin afterwards with a non-greasy moisturizer (I use la roche posay) because your skin will be pretty dry post-mask. On a positive note, use this mask when you feel your skin is getting a bit greasy.

First of all I’m in love with the luxury packaging that glass container 😍 and the safety thing inside for the product not to dry since it’s a charcoal mask, and for me it’s worth the price cz a little bit cz so much on the skin….
I recommend to use fingers for application so u can control the quantity applied and really a little but spread so much and u need a very thin layer to use…
For the first time I used it I applied all over my face and it really dried out my skin I have a dry skin and oily tzone

I have been using these clay masks from L’Oréal for 2 years now and so far no matter how many other masks I try, I always come back to these! I have sensitive skin that can react to any kind of products I might apply to my face and these are the only masks that are actually efficient without irritating the skin. I like to mix and match between them. I use the green one on my T-zone since I have oily skin in this area and the red one on the rest of my face since it exfoliates and leaves my skin glowing. I also like using the blue one on my nose sometimes because it fights blackheads and reduces the size of pores. I highly recommend it and already got all my entourage to use it as well.

This is not my first time with this mask , and always been on my top favs. The composition is great that you can feel the glow directly! I use it once in a week and leave it for 10mns then remove it with a damped warm cloth. Can’t wait to try the yellow one !

J’avais déjà essayé le masque d’argile de l’Oréal Paris et j’étais ravie de le découvrir dans la nouvelle boite de Ounousa Reviews. Facile à appliquer en utilisant simplement les doigts, je me tartine le visage avec ce masque 2 fois par semaine. Après 10 minutes d’application, on ressent clairement l’effet argile qui se durcit sur la peau mais qui reste quand même facile à enlever en rinçant simplement le visage à l’eau fraiche. Astuce : je masse doucement mon visage en lavant le masque pour bien gommer ma peau. Premier constat une fois le masque lavé, mon visage est bien étiré et luisant avec un effet boost énergie garantie ! J’applique ma crème hydratante après chaque utilisation pour éviter tout assèchement.

I received the L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask: Detoxifies & Clarifies – Charcoal in the Ounousa January box along with the Charcoal detox gel wash and they pair perfectly together. Packaging: the mask comes in a glass jar which feels very heavy and fancy indeed. It says that it lasts you 10 applications but I personally think that it can last more than that. It has a very fresh smell which is not overpowering at the same time. The mask claims that it is capable of transforming the skin in 10 minutes with the aid of charcoal which will absorb the sebum and dirt from the pores. It also states that it will clean the skin and give it a healthy glow and radiance due to its non-drying and creamy formula. Experience: I used this mask as stated on the package and kept it for a good 15-20 minutes. I found it best to apply a thin layer mostly on the t-zone and on the pores around the nose area. It was only a few minutes until I felt my skin getting tighter. The mask will eventually dry out completely into a muddy texture with a cracked form. As the mask is drying, you can see in action how it is being absorbed by the pores and you can spot the pores as you do in a black mask which is great. I really loved this mask especially when I cleansed my face with the complementary cleanser, I felt like my skin got really clean and my blackheads started to vanish. I find it best to remove this mask using warm water, it might give you a hard time removing it so you can use a cloth to fasten the process. After several uses I definitely felt a difference in my skin in terms of radiance and healthy glow, the face got tighter and clearer. However this mask really does dry and tighten the face to an extent that it feels painful to smile after application. I think that you should moisturize your face well after using it in order not to drain your face from proper hydration. So coupled with moisturizing I think this is one of the best masks there is especially that the line has several masks for different targeted skin issues. Also compared to its price (retails at 11 dollars) you get a high quality and efficient product.

First of all, I have to say that this isn’t the first time I try this Mask, it’s actually one of my favorite face masks of all time. I have been using this product since forever, I usually apply it 2 to 3 times a week. Moving on to the review: the packaging is nice and the instructions are very clear on the box. It comes in a glassy jar. The structure of the clay is thick, and the smell is very fresh, very earthy and the Eucalyptus scent is amazing,when using it you just feel like you’re in a spa. It kinda have a whipped effect when you touch it. Application: Using a brush or your finger , take a bit and apply it evenly on your face, don’t let it anywhere near your eyes. At first you are going to feel a bit of a burning sensation, that’s the skin absorbing the mask. on the box it says that you should leave the mask for about 10 to 15 minutes. But It’s okkay to leave it more. I usually leave it on for an hour. It dries on the skin in about a minute after application. and the color turns from dark to a more light color. that’s how you know that it is definitely dried 100%. After that the mask gives you a sensation of tightness in the skin. To remove the mask, you can either just wash the face, or remove it with a damped cloth. Personally I do both, depends on the mood. It’s best if the water is a bit warm. After application: Feeling fresh instantly and it is very obvious that the mask removed all the gunk from the skin and was absorbed by the pores, it gives the skin a glow and earthy feeling. It should be known that not only this mask clarifies and detoxify the skin, especially oily skin. but it also tightens the skin A LOT.. Coming from my personal experience. I remove my nose piercing before applying the mask. and after removing it. I can barely put the nose ring back on. That’s how much my skin tightens after application. Which is why it is absolutely my favorite. It gives instant results.

My favorites are the black detoxifies the skin and clean it super well, also leave it refreshed and pure. The blue helps reduce the blackheads i have on my nose and chin, leaving my pores clean and visibly reducing blackheads. Also, the red mask which works as kind of a scrub as well, but be careful you need to be very gentle with this one, cz it tends to be a bit harsh on the skin. Yet if you used it with minimum pressure it will leave you skin super smooth, clean and glowing.
These never broke me out, i have a combination skin with a very oily t-zone and i am acne prone. MUST HAVEEE !! i always restock ALWAYSSSS !

“1) Packaging of this mask, comes in a square, glass jar, black color. I have been using twice per week on clean face using the Pure Clay Detoxifying Gel Wash. 2) As for the scent, is lovely fresh scent, I have sensitive skin but no reaction from my ever so sensitive skin either. 3) Application: When I first tried it, I used my fingers, to apply it, I could feel my skin tighten just a little bit. Second time, I apply it with a flat foundation brush, this uses the least amount of mask and provides comfortable application. 4)I waited 15 minutes before washing it off with warm water. 5) Result: After using this mask for twice, I did not see any brightening, but my skin was soft, oil free, sooooo smooth and doesn’t over dry. After using it for 2 weeks, I starting see my skin look a little bit feel brightness. 6) would recommend using a flat brush to apply the mask and made sure to apply a hydrating cream on afterwards.”

“So I’ve tested this product for 2 weeks using it in different ways to see what works best for my combination to dry skin and I’ve gathered the following! This is detoxifying alright, but very drying! I recommend using it once every two weeks AFTER showering because your facial pores would be dilated and the mask would do the most detoxifying (use prior to it L’Oréal Pure Clay Detoxifying Gel Face Wash for best results), and hydrate right after. Don’t get the mask on the sensitive areas of your face (upperlip, contour des yeux) because it would really irritate the area and even break it out. “I received the Detoxifying and Brightening mask (the black one) from January’s boxes and i previously bought and been using the Clear & Comfort one, the one that clears blackheads & shrinks pores (the blue one). As a first impression, the creamy and soft texture is really nice and that makes it so easy to apply on the skin. It is supposed to act like a deep cleanser for the pores, and like a magnet to remove all the impurities from the skin surface, to leave the skin clean, clear and with a remarkable brightness. Also it should not dry the skin, which I think was so suitable for my skin type, since I have a very oily skin especially on my T zone. When I first applied it to my face, I felt a little burn for like the first 2 minutes, but then it was gone. I applied it and went to take a shower. It dried after like 1 to 2 minutes, and I removed it after 10 minutes with a moderately warm water. The result was obtaining a really soft, fresh and non-dried skin. It didn’t really make that huge difference, but I think if the routine is correctly applied like 3 times per week for like a month, it will really make a change. I highly recommended it as a constant routine for face cleaning, since it’s really skin friendly, soft and most importantly affordable. I usually don’t use face masks and it’s maybe the first time I use one, and I really loved it. PS: for a better result, I used the charcoal face wash once in the morning, and applied the mask like 3 times per week.”

“I have been sent this product more than once from L’Oreal in different shades – and I always find myself using them to treat myself before baths, during baths, or just late at night after some night outs (after getting a tired face). L’Oreal Pure Dark Clay Masks detoxify and clarify the skin. You feel your baby skin shining after using it. The light ones even and lighten the skin tone. My advice is use it while you’re showering/ bathing – 4 minutes into the process – when your face pores are open. “This product definitely deserves a five stars. Its currently on my face as I am reviewing it. let’s talk about the immediate feel once applied: it feels cold once fully applied and strangely this feeling is so satisfying and feels so pure. Its smell is as if i’m in a jungle. Its smell is very earthy and nature. It can really last for a long time the quantity and the quality and the price, it’s just out of this world. Once applied on the face, it feels sticky as it is being dried and as if your face is being lifted which is another oddly satisfying feeling. I have the charcoal one that thanks to ounousa I got in my January box. Once removed with warm water, you can already feel how smooth your skin is just like a babies; how it is clear and purified; how your pores look so much smaller. The good thing is this product has long term effects. It isn’t just after washing your face. You can still feel the smoothness after days I apply this mask 2-3 times per week and I can see the results. MOST IMPORTANT : it is a non drying product. Although i’m not a fan of masks but i really loved this one. It left my skin super clean and purified even my pores were less clogged directly after first use but it didn’t remove the blackheads on my nose; i guess with time let’s see. Those masks are the best masks I tried so far!! I’m in love with them and they are totally worth the money. How I use it: I apply it with a brush and leave it on my fave for about 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water. This mask is the perfect choice if you want results within 10 to 15 mins only!
This is my all time favorite mask and every time I use it I get compliments saying that my skin looks amazing and very healthy. It illuminates the skin, clean your pores and mattify the T-zone area from oil. The formula is creamy and non-drying at all. This is highly recommended especially for combination and oily skin.

First of all, I have to say that this isn’t the first time I try this Mask, it’s actually one of my favorite face masks of all time. I have been using this product since forever, I usually apply it 2 to 3 times a week. Moving on to the review: the packaging is nice and the instructions are very clear on the box. It comes in a glassy jar. The structure of the clay is thick, and the smell is very fresh, very earthy and the Eucalyptus scent is amazing,when using it you just feel like you’re in a spa. It kinda have a whipped effect when you touch it. Application: Using a brush or your finger , take a bit and apply it evenly on your face, don’t let it anywhere near your eyes. At first you are going to feel a bit of a burning sensation, that’s the skin absorbing the mask. on the box it says that you should leave the mask for about 10 to 15 minutes. But It’s okkay to leave it more. I usually leave it on for an hour. It dries on the skin in about a minute after application. and the color turns from dark to a more light color. that’s how you know that it is definitely dried 100%. After that the mask gives you a sensation of tightness in the skin. To remove the mask, you can either just wash the face, or remove it with a damped cloth. Personally I do both, depends on the mood. It’s best if the water is a bit warm. After application: Feeling fresh instantly and it is very obvious that the mask removed all the gunk from the skin and was absorbed by the pores, it gives the skin a glow and earthy feeling. It should be known that not only this mask clarifies and detoxify the skin, especially oily skin. but it also tightens the skin A LOT.. Coming from my personal experience. I remove my nose piercing before applying the mask. and after removing it. I can barely put the nose ring back on. That’s how much my skin tightens after application. Which is why it is absolutely my favorite. It gives instant results.

“This is my favorite product ever. I use them all (they come in 5 different colors and 5 different goals for your skin). When I applied the blue one, I felt a cooling sensation that was very refreshing. I apply these masks and do whatever I have to do without getting messy. I leave it for 20 minutes so that I give it that to dry and I shower directly after it to remove it, it’s easier. My skin is instantly smoother, cleaner, fresher and brighter. The smell is amazing and I really feel like I’m applying fresh products. I use these masks 3 times per week and trust me they do make a different. They are not expensive, so go and pamper yourself!”

“I loved the effect this mask had on my face and the formula does wonders deep into your pore. Also, a little goes a long way, you just need to apply a thin layer to get results. The mask efficiently removes all dead skins from your face’s surface and helps reveal a smooth and bright complexion. It is mostly efficient before a big night out as it reveals youthful and bright skin and improves makeup application. I tested it out with my friends during a night in and there were many compliments for the smooth texture of the product, as well as how quickly it dried and how refreshing it felt afterwards. However, some who have sensitive skin experienced redness and breakouts and found the mask’s exfoliation a bit too harsh for their skin. I personally loved how it turned out on my skin, after just one application I got comments on how bright and healthy my face looked. The results exceeded my expectations. This is great! I got the detoxifying one with charcoal and 3 types of clay. Put a thin layer and wait for it to dry. It will suck out the impurities and excess oils without over drying your skin. Loved it was easy to wash off. My skin looked noticeably brighter and pure. I got immediate complements. Will love to try other types!

Great mask for all skin types.. I have been using this once a week and the results having been more satisfying than I ever expected . This mask leaves my skin feeling clean and bright but not shiny .. So for me it was the perfect face soother and refresher

Absolutely love this facial mask. I have highly sensitive skin and to top it off it’s combination!! This mask is amazing and does dry or add oil. It’s easy to apply and just easy to wash off.. You let it dry for 10 mins the wash it off. Leaves skin so smooth and soft. I highly recommend it!
