Even Pigment Perfector Day Cream was formulated by Eucerin, a German brand with over 100 years of experience in the field of skincare. This cream reduces dark spots and prevents their re-appearance.
The product comes in a white and bronze cardboard box. It has a pharmaceutical-like theme that reflects the design Eucerin has adopted for its product line. The 50 ml bottle is very lightweight and easy to carry around in your bag. You can pump out the cream through the nozzle by pressing gently to release a sufficient amount.
This cream is lightly fragranced.
According to Eucerin, this cream is suitable for all skin types.
Apply this cream after cleansing your face well in the morning. You won’t need to apply any sunscreen as it already contains an SPF 30. It is best to use it along with Even Pigment Perfector Night Cream for a thorough routine that targets hyperpigmentation. Note that Eucerin recommends up to a maximum of 4 applications per day. The reason is that both day and night creams contain Thiamidol, which is the main ingredient that targets hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production. This component must only be applied in moderation.
We tried out this pigment perfector for a period of three weeks on 3 different types of skin that suffer from hyperpigmentation (normal, oily and sensitive) to test its effect. According to Eucerin, initial results start appearing within two weeks and keep improving with regular use. We wanted to test how valid that was.
*Normal skin: The intensity of hyperpigmentation gradually decreased upon the second week of use, which unified the skin tone that was once uneven due to dark spots. The cream also added remarkable radiance to the skin.
We didn’t notice any re-appearance of dark patches during the three weeks of use. This proves how effective this product is in controlling hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production.
*Oily skin: Even Pigment Perfector Day Cream had a very positive effect on oily skin. Throughout the three weeks of use, we noticed quite an improvement in terms of dark spots that once looked unpleasant. The cream didn’t cause any acne flare-ups or breakouts.
*Sensitive skin: We applied this cream to a small area on the face to check whether it would cause any allergic reaction before applying it to the entire face. It was safely used during all three weeks. It was also quite effective in preventing hyperpigmentation especially after sun exposure, and reduced the intensity of existing spots and patches.
Note that whatever your skin type is, the Eucerin day cream should be applied regularly for optimal results. Refraining from doing so, even if shortly, leads to the reappearance of hyperpigmentation and new dark spots. This happens due to the role of the Thiamidol active ingredient in reducing melanin production, so refraining from applying the product restores the original level of melanin. Even Pigment Perfector is not a treatment cream to be used for a limited period of time; it should be integrated into your daily routine.
Even Pigment Perfector Day Cream from Eucerin retails at 99 USD per 50 ml in Lebanon. Its price is similar to that of other depigmentation day creams, such as La Roche Posay Pigmentclar UV SPF at 82 USD per 40 ml, and Melascreen Intense Depigmenting Care at 62 USD per 30 ml.
