I got the love liberty shade, which is a beautiful berry shade, I usually go for dark red/cherry/berry lipstick colors. This is one is more on the brighter side of that spectrum, nonetheless I really loved it, the texture is great, it even has a hint of a nice smell, the packaging is really lovely and is super long lasting. However the texture is not exactly “matte” as the label claims, I found it quite creamy, compared to other matte lipsticks I have, had to dab a little off with a napkin to remove some of the shine!

i deeply like the colors of this collection specially “Amazing Amal shade” but unfortunately, it’s not long lasting, and as we know nowadays the best lipsticks in the market are the long lasting ones.
It will go right away after eating or drinking, that’s why i will not buy it anymore.

OUR EDITORIAL REVIEW

Packaging:

The “Matte Revolution” lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury comes in a simple yet classy rose gold packaging. The cap closes securely which makes it travel friendly.

Texture:

The lipstick has a creamy texture.

Smell:

The product has a distinct sweet smell.

Shades Available and Shade Tested:

The lipstick comes in 12 different colors that range from nude to dark pinks and reds. We tested the lipstick in “Love Liberty” a berry pink shade.

Effect:

The “Matte Revolution” lipstick is easy to apply as it glides on the lips due to its creamy texture. In fact, the lipstick is moist and hydrating which makes it comfortable to wear. Even after long hours of wear, the lipstick won’t dry and look patchy.
Additionally, the lipstick is highly pigmented and achieves a nice color effect on the lips. One layer was enough for full opacity. The “Matte Revolution” lipstick is true matte and does not shine or shimmer. We also found that the formula is transfer proof, smudge proof and has a long staying power. The “Matte Revolution” lipstick also allows the lips to look fuller naturally.
For optimal results, we recommend waiting a few minutes for the lipstick to dry before eating or drinking to ensure that the color has set.

Price:

The “Matte Revolution” lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury sells at $34/3.4g which is pricier when compared to other products in the same range like Huda Beauty’s “Power Bullet Matte Lipstick” which sells at $25/3g and Bobbi Brown’s “Luxe Matte Lipstick” which retails at $37/4.5g. It remains cheaper, however, than other products in a different range like Christian Louboutin’s “Velvet Matte Lip Colour” which sells at $90/3.8g.
