Packaging:

The “Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick” by Fenty Beauty comes in a reflective-metallic and angular case. The packaging is very elegant, light and slim and the tip of the lipstick has FB engraved on it.

Colors Available and Color Tested:

The “Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick” is available in more than 20 vibrant greens, maroons, reds, purples, blues, blacks and oranges. We tested this product in “Flamingo Acid” a deep bright berry shade.

Texture:

The lipstick has a creamy and silky texture.

Scent:

The product has a faint smell that is not overpowering.

Effect:

When we tested the “Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick” we found that a very thin layer of product is enough. In fact, the colors are highly pigmented, and the product’s formula is incredibly lightweight. One layer is enough for full opacity. The “Mattemoiselle Plush Lipstick” does have a matte finish. However, it does not dry out completely which prevents the lipstick from caking or creasing. The product was also very easy to apply because of its creamy texture. The lipstick is not transfer proof or smudge proof and leaves a stain-like effect on the lips after removal. So, for best results, we recommend using a lip balm or exfoliating the lips before applying the lipstick and waiting for a couple of minutes for the product to dry out completely.

Price:

The “Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick” by Fenty Beauty retails at an average of $18/1.7g which is pricier than other lipsticks in the same range like Anastasia Beverly Hill’s “Matte Lipstick” which sells at $18/3.5g and Huda Beauty’s “Liquid Matte Lipstick” which retails at $20/5g. It remains cheaper than other products in a different range such as Guerlain’s “KissKiss Matte Lipstick” which retails at $37/3.5g.
