The L’ORÉAL PARIS Infallible Fixing Mist gives off a pleasant and faint floral scent upon application.
Effect:
We tried this Fixing Mist during both daytime and nighttime to test the extent to which it protects your makeup look from all external factors. We noticed that spraying it on the face in the morning preserves your makeup look for a good period of time (between 6 to 8 hours). It also adds a fixed matte touch to your makeup despite sweating. During nighttime, this spray will hold your makeup down the way it is all throughout the night, and you will notice how fixed it is once you try to remove it, as you will have to exert some extra effort to wipe all the products off of your face.
We also tried this L’ORÉAL PARIS setting spray on several types of skin in order to test whether the effect differs. We noticed that it is an essential product for oily skin. The problem for women with this type of skin is that their makeup almost completely wears off in a very short period of time due to oil and sebum secretions, but this spray sets your makeup for a longer time with less shine.
As for sensitive skin, the L’ORÉAL PARIS Infallible Fixing Mist doesn’t cause any additional irritation or redness to the skin, so you can definitely use this spray to set makeup on it. However, if you have sensitive skin, whether dry or normal, we advise not you to spray a lot of this product on your face. We noticed that it can increase skin dryness after use, so go for only a little amount of this product to set your makeup and you won’t be experiencing any later side-effects, especially if you use it on a daily basis.
Application:
You should be extra careful when using this Fixing Mist. Based on our experience, if you don’t shake the bottle well prior to application, you will get white clumps of product all over your face. In case you’ve already applied your makeup before spraying, you might have to wipe it off and reapply it due to these clumps. So in order to use the Fixing Mist, you should shake the bottle properly around 10 times first until there’s no white powder left at the bottom of the bottle. You will notice that the bottle contains metal ball bearings that mix up the mist formula with the active ingredients found in the white substance. Upon shaking, place the bottle 20 to 25 cm away from your face, close your eyes and mouth, and spray it in the shape of an X then a T to set the makeup on your face.

L’oreal setting spray is perfect for a hot day, it will set your makeup and save it the whole day, butt you have to shake it verryyy well before using it ,or it will leave some white particles on your face, otherwise there is no bad comment about it.

life changer. i have a super oily skin and that’s the only setting spray that works for me. but you should shake it well before use or it will leave white marks all over the face.

I personally regret purchasing this product, the only function I use it for is to spray my brushed so I can add shimmer shadows but even then it performs poorly. When it’s sprayed it releases tiny white particles that sit on the face, if you spray it next to a mirror or your phone you can see the residue on these items. The spray itself is too strong that when you spray you’d be hesitant or worried it would get into your eye. Whether or not it sets the face and doesn’t the makeup move around much is debatable, personally I think my makeup stays the same with or without, it just adds a nice wet look.

This fix spray is a day saver, I used it last summer, and we all know how hot the weather is by that time and how bad the foundation looks sometimes. But this face fixing spray, is another story, it sets up my foundation perfectly.

“I really loved this product I had never used a fixing spray before this one, but when I’m starting used this spray especially in summer I noticed a big difference, my makeup last even more than before. Effect of this spray (My own experience): -I start using this spray from 14 May till today, obviously I used for 5 months (the bottle is almost finished), which also so great because the price is $18 for 100 ml capacity, -It hold my makeup in place for up to 6 hours although the weather was sometimes so hot -It give fresh look and glowy makeup finish -It’s very gentle and doesn’t cause any irritation or redness, notecing that I has a sensitive skin. Warnings: 1- Just in the first application of this product, do not spray it in the face directly because most probably cause a little bit of tiny white residue all over the face 2- Do not wear your hijab or shirts before spraying, because most probably it keep a little white drops 3- Especially for dry skin, do not spray a lot of this product on your face because it make your makeup look a bit dry (but I highly recommended for combo-oily skin) Scent: You feel very fresh when you apply this spray, it has a fresh smell Application: 1- You should shake the bottle very well approximately for 30 seconds (because it contains white residue at the bottom of the bottle plus of little metal balls, which it help to mix the ingredients before spraying) 2- You should placing the bottle 25 cm away from your face 3- You should close both eye and mouth too 4- Spray it of an X then a T shape to set the makeup on all your face (cheeks, T zone and neck)”

How to use it: Shake veryy well as much as you can, close your eyes and mouth hold it 25 cm away and spray 2 to 4 times in an X & T motion. This product has extended my makeup for hours longer. I don’t use it every day, only when I have a night out or a special meeting, it doesn’t matter if used during the day or at night in both ways it works well and saves you from constantly checking your makeup. It has a good smell not so strong nor bad, and didn’t cause me any allergy (since my skin is really sensitive) CAUTION⚠️: Avoid spraying in eyes and mouth,make sure not to inhale straight after spraying the fixing mist.Turn the bottle upside down before giving it a good shake it helps in mixing the sedimented powder at the bottom of the bottle. “I had never used a fixing mist before but my experience with this product was very satisfactory. The texture is very lightweight, dries really quickly without sagging your makeup and makes it last up to 10 hours easily. My only problem was with the fact that if the bottle is not properly shaken, it can leave little white flakes on your skin. Other than that, the product leaves a refreshing feeling and smells really pleasant.”

It’s my first experience with a fixing spray and it was great! I spray it only when I wear alot of make up ( when I have foundation on) and it makes it last alot longer and gives it a neat Matte look in addition of it’s great smell. A small tip: spray it with a 25cm distance minimum.

“I perform and dance on stage, and makeup is always a must for my performance. Therefore, I sweat a lot, and need my makeup to stay on all night long. “While I prefer other fixing sprays I have tried (even cheaper, drugstore brands), this product does the job. I always advise spraying a “”cloud”” then walking into it rather than applying directly on the face; it makes it easier to dry and prevents white patches on the face. Overall, this spray helped my makeup stay on for a good 6 hours, but the finish was not spectacular.”

“It’s a good fixing spray but needs some effort to make it work. You have to shake it really (like really) well for it to work (otherwise you’ll have white dots all over your face), but when you do, it works amazingly well. Make up stays on all day. And it smells nice. But again, using it is a bit of a hassle and you’re always scared you might end up ruining you make up!”

I applied the fixing spray after shaking the bottle for about 30 seconds. The product was well scattered throughout my face and it had a very nice and refreshing scent. But then I got disappointed by the efficacy of the spray; my lipstick was completely gone and my cheeks were barely blushed by the end of the night. Will spray more product next time to give it a second try.

“I’m not really someone who applies heavy make up, or any make up at all during the day so I tried this before going out at night and was disappointed that it had actually ruined my make up leaving a few white spots on my face, which frustrated me so I had to wash my face and reapply my make up all over again. Love the shape and size of the packaging as well as the smell. I have been using the L’oreal makeup fixing spray for 2 weeks and I can really admit that it is amazing. My makeup remained the same all day long although the weather was sometimes so humid and hot. And guess what ?! Even my lipstick was fixed and barely removed. I will definitely repurchase. The package is clear and transparent with a safe black closure on top. It can be easily carried with you wherever you go. It also smells great and refreshing. This product dries out on the face so fast after spraying it with a distance around 20 cm.

In my opinion u will not go wrong with this product. It fixes ur make up and literally leaves everything in place. Shake it really well then spray 2 times in the air (so you don’t get the white specks) then close ur eyes and spray 3 times on your face… and you are good to go 😉

“When i first used this spray, i noticed that my face was covered with white dots, but then when i tried shaking it before using it, there was no dots on the face anymore, just because it contains white residue at the bottom of the bottle which is why it needs to be shaken before being used! “I usually don’t put on alot of makeup that requires to be fixed. But for the couple of times that I used it I felt like it sprays big droplets that makes you worry your makeup will be smudged. Contrary on what its called a “”myst””, it is more of droplets that takes time to dry. I would have preferred the packaging to be done in a bottle similar to the water botlles that you can spray on the beach. “Before using this fixing spray from L’Oreal, make sure you have read very well the instructions! This product should be really really well shake before being used or white dots will appear all over your face. Also, make sure to spray it a bit far from your face. What I didn’t like is that it’s too liquid as a spray but it fixed my makeup for the whole day. I wouldn’t use it on a daily basis but I recommend it if you have an occasion for a long day.”

“I have been using L’Oreal Paris products almost my entire life. Recently, I have bumped into this product and I was really thrilled to use it since my makeup tends to wear off super fast because I’m always on the go. To start with the packaging, it’s pretty simple. Light grey, black and red; this is as simple as it can get. Just the way I like it. As for the texture, some people may like it but that is one of the things I didn’t like in the product. It kept my face wet for a while before it actually dried and it bothered me. What I absolutely LOVED about it is that my makeup lasted for the entire day!! So, on the long term, it is super efficient. It also prevents the makeup from melting or showing cracks on the face. Putting in mind a multinational brand, the price of this product is fair; around $20. Give or take. Unlike other makeup setters, it has a specific way to use it. It needs to be held around 20-25 cm away from the face and spray 2-4 times in an X or T manner. And don’t forget to shake, shake, shake! I would definitely recommend it to girls who have makeup on everyday, but as for me, I wouldn’t buy it when I’m done with the one I have because I’m a natural. I usually leave the house everyday with only sunscreen on.”

“They did great send a leaflet saying “”shake shake shake””. You really need to shake it for like a minute so the product is mixed properly. you even have to wait for your make up to be completely dry before applying it or else the drops will damage everything (hello panda eyes). The droplets are huge, that’s not really a spray, you pchit liquid on your face after makeup which is not ideal. The makeup does stay in place but the whole process is not worth it.”

“The only good thing about this product is the packaging and the smell. The smell is amazing (aloe vera) and it’s really fresh. The star is for this. I don’t know what’s with this product. I give it a shake to ensure it’s mixed, hold it 30cm from my face as it says in the instructions, mist and then BAM, it’s like I have snow on my face! Big white drops! The droplets are huge, you need to wait a lot for the product to dry. I even asked if I have to wipe out the product or wait for it to dry, since I waited for like 8 minutes and my face was still covered in snow. I had to remove my makeup and reapply it without using this spray, so I cannot say if this product helps set up my makeup for a longer time. I don’t know if my face doesn’t cope with the product but before buying it, spray some on your face and arm when you’re at the shop, and test for yourself.”

“The first time I tried it, I hadn’t shaken the bottle as I should therefore it left white “”flakes”” on my skin. I then retried using it after vigorously shaking the bottle which allowed the powdery product to get really well mixed with the liquid product. I love using it underneath the makeup for it leaves my face feeling fresh and hydrated thanks to the aloe vera in it. When used on top of the makeup it really left it in place all day long. Yet, the droplets are quite big, when sprayed you don’t get a fine mist but rather feel like it’s raining. “I started using this product a few weeks back and I’m loving it so far. It really helps my makeup stay in place and gives a radiant finish to your face. This product comes in a pearly & slightly transparent plastic bottle with tiny white particles in the bottom so make sure to give it a good shake before you spray it on. The indications on the bottle tells you to spray it in an X motion, this has worked well for me as it’s really light on the face but you just got to wait a bit until it dries up completely to avoid any smudging since the droplet is a bit big.
