The Biosecure Aloe Vera Shampoo comes in a 100 ml, travel-friendly bottle, but is also available in a 730 ml bottle in Europe only. It has a simple, green and white design that reflects the colors of nature as Biosecure offers a wide range of organic products (free of any chemical components). All of the product details are printed on the back of the bottle, and it has a flip-top cap that closes securely.
This shampoo has a delicate smell that matches its organic identity as it exudes a combination of natural scents of flowers and herbs. However, its smell doesn’t last long on the hair, but only lingers for three to four hours after washing.
This shampoo has a transparent, gel-like formula that is incredibly lightweight and spreads out effortlessly on the hair.
The Aloe Vera Shampoo is designed for normal hair types only.
You will need around two pumps of product for your first wash and then another for the second.
Upon the first use of this shampoo, we noticed that it doesn’t lather up as much as other types of shampoo. For this reason, we had to apply additional pumps of product to try and create more foam. But after the second use, we found that its cleansing properties were not tied to the amount of lather formed.
The shampoo was capable of removing all accumulated impurities even when we only applied two pumps, and the scalp looked cleaner than ever. The additional two pumps were enough to entirely cleanse the hair. Keep in mind that this Biosecure shampoo is made up of all-natural ingredients, so you can’t expect it to lather up as much as other types of shampoo that contain chemicals do.
We used this shampoo along with a conditioner for normal hair from a different brand, as Biosecure still hasn’t released a complementary conditioner for the Aloe Vera shampoo.
After washing and drying out the hair, you will notice that it becomes intensely moisturized and less brittle thanks to the Aloe Vera extract, as well as other components such as peach extract and cottonseed oil.
The continuous use of this shampoo helped keep the normal-type hair in good health and boosted its softness and shine. What’s remarkable is how gentle this product is on the hair thanks to its natural ingredients. You can rest assured that it will give you all-positive results since it does not contain any chemical components.
Note that if you struggle with hair loss, extreme dryness or split-ends, it’s preferable to use a treatment shampoo designed for such conditions. The Aloe Vera shampoo is intended for daily use, as it protects the hair but does not treat certain conditions.
This shampoo retails at 5.6 USD per 100 ml in Lebanon. It’s considered quite affordable compared to other types of organic and natural shampoo for normal hair. The closest shampoo in price would be Klorane’s Shampoo with Citrus Pulp at 15.54 USD per 200 ml, or 7.7 USD per 100 ml.
Other types of shampoo fall on the pricier side, such as 5 Sens Enhancing Shampoo from Rene Furterer at 27 USD per 200 ml (13.5 USD per 100 ml). So does Jasmine High Gloss Shampoo from The Organic Pharmacy, at 80 USD per 200 ml (40 USD per 100 ml).
