The mask comes is an opaque white 200ml tub with a silver cap. The name and details are in written black with silver elements giving it a very premium look.
This mask is designed for medium to coarse hair in loss of density.
The mask has a light gel consistency.
It smells very fresh like a salon treatment.
To use the mask, we simply applied it to washed, towel dried hair (i.e. still a little bit wet) and massaged it into the hair and scalp from roots to ends and left it in for 5-10 minutes before rinsing it thoroughly.
The Densifique range includes a shampoo, pre-shampoo conditioner, mask and serum. The mask itself is a treatment to restore substance, shine, and resiliency.
Multiple ingredients work together to deeply nourish hair that is prone to dryness and thickness:
– Power Renewal Complex + Ceramide technology restores and strengthens the hair fiber
– Hyaluronic Acid hydrates and adds resilience to plump the hair and add bounce
– Gluco-Peptide restores a smooth, uniform surface to the hair cuticle to increase shine and resiliency
– Ceramide strengthens the hair fiber while protecting against further hair stress
The mask was used twice a week for a period of 3 weeks and the results were great. After day 2 of usage, the hair looked fuller, shinier and softer. Contrary to our apprehension about the texture, the gel consistency did not weigh down the hair or make it heavier in any way, instead it added more volume and bounce giving off a much healthier appearance and feel.
On top, due to heavy hair styling (straightening, blow drying etc..), our hair had a tendency to dry up very quickly. This mask allowed for a deep rehydration from roots to tips, helping reduce significantly split ends and restore shine to the hair fibers.
Once the mask is done, we found that shampooing the hair thoroughly with Kérastase’s Densifique Bain Densité Shampoo really boosts the hair’s natural properties and made it cleaner, healthier and more voluminous.
Kérastase Densifique Masque Densité retails for $47/200ml. Since this is a mask and not a shampoo, this investment will not put a dent in your pocket: the mask will last for a minimum of 10-12 weeks – depending on quantity used each time. This product is similar in pricing to other brands in the same range such as Masque hydratant – Beology from Schwarzkopf (46.7$/200ml) or even Le Masque d’Exception – Phytokératine Extrême from Phyto (43$/200ml).
