CAUDALIE
Glycolic Peel Mask
Packaging: The “Glycolic Peel Mask” by Caudalie comes in a light green squeeze-tube with a wooden screw-on cap. The container also has a white grape design on it and the brand and product information are printed in white and dark green on the tube. Texture: This mask has a thick texture. Smell: The “Glycolic Peel Mask” has a faint earthy smell. Skin Type: This mask is designed for all skin types. Application: Apply an even and thin layer of the mask to your clean make-up free face. Avoid the eye area. Leave the mask in for around 10 minutes and rinse off thoroughly with water. You can use this mask day or night. The recommended use is twice per week. Effect: We tested the “Glycolic Peel Mask” twice a week for a week. The mask has a creamy and thick texture which felt very rich on the skin. So, the mask provided a deep cleansing of the face without drying it out. Actually, the skin felt really hydrated after application. The “Glycolic Peel Mask” revitalized dull complexion by giving it a boost of radiance. This is due to the glycolic acid ingredient in the mask which helps by adding glow to the skin. While washing, the mask turns into a milky consistency that is deeply hydrating and leaves no residue. The effect on the skin was visible immediately: the face looked and felt softer and smoother. Also, the skin tone was evened out and the mask had a brightening effect. We recommend wearing a high SPF sunscreen after using the mask. This is to maintain the results offered by the “Glycolic Peel Mask” by Caudalie. For people with oily skin, the mask might not deliver similar effects. So, we would recommend using an exfoliating or cleansing mask instead of this one. Price: The “Glycolic Peel Mask” by Caudalie retails at $39/75 mL which is pricier than other products delivering similar effects like Origin’s “GinZing Peel-Off Mask” which sells at $28/100 mL. However, it remains much cheaper, than products in a different range like Galénic’s “Pureté Sublime Renewal Peel” which retails at $78/50 mL.

Hand and Nail Cream
Packaging: The “Hand and Nail Cream” by Caudalie comes in a white and silver squeeze-tube with a purple dispenser cap. The container has a purple grape design on it. The brand and product information are printed in purple on the tube. Texture: This product has a buttery-creamy texture. Smell: The “Hand and Nail Cream” by Caudalie has a strong smell that lingers after application. Skin Type: This cream provides solutions for dry hands. However, it is suitable for all skin types. Application: Apply the “Hand and Nail Cream” by Caudalie as often as necessary. Massage the cream in until fully absorbed. Effect: We tested the “Hand and Nail Cream” by Caudalie every day for a week. The product blended nicely with the skin. Indeed, it did not leave any sticky or greasy finish. We noticed that the skin absorbs the cream a few moments after application without leaving any residue. The “Hand and Nail Cream’s” thick consistency provided a boost of richness and moisture to the hands. After several applications, we started to feel the dryness subsiding on the skin. In fact, the hands felt softer and smoother to the touch. The nourishing formula is intensely hydrating and moisturizing. The “Hand and Nail Cream” by Caudalie has good qualities, its scent however, might be overwhelming. Especially for daily application. Also, in terms of durability, the effects of the cream don’t last very long, so, continued application is necessary for optimal effect. Price: The “Hand and Nail Cream” by Caudalie officially retails at $15/75 mL which is comparable to the $30/150 mL bestselling “Shea Butter Hand Cream” by L’Occitane en Provence. It is also less pricy than similar products in a different range lke Shiseido’s “Benefiance” which retails at $40/75 mL.

CAUDALIE
Instant Detox Mask
Packaging: The “Instant Detox Mask” by Caudalie comes in a green squeeze-tube with a wooden screw-on cap. Additionally, the tube has a white grape design on it. The brand and product information are printed in dark green and white on the container. Texture: This product has a thick texture. Smell: The “Instant Detox Mask” has a faint earthy smell. Skin Type: This product is suitable for all skin types. Application: Apply an even and thin layer of the mask to your clean make-up free face while avoiding the contour of the eyes. Leave the mask in for around 10 minutes and rinse off thoroughly with water. You can use this mask day or night. Caudalie recommends using the mask twice per week for optimal effect. Effect: We tested this mask twice a week for two weeks. We noticed that the mask was easy to apply using our fingers. In fact, it glides on the face smoothly. A few minutes after application, the mask dries and there is a tightening sensation on the skin. In fact, the dry mask prevents any type of facial movement as it becomes less malleable. When the 10 minutes lapsed, we rinsed off the mask with water and ensured that no residue was left. The “Instant Detox Mask” left the skin feeling very fresh. Indeed, we felt as though the skin can breathe, especially because of how thoroughly the mask cleansed the pores. The overall result was soft and smooth skin- even after the first use. The product worked very well on the T-zone: it controlled the oiliness around that area and dried it out. Additionally, there was no redness or irritability experienced because of the mask, even when it was tested on sensitive skin. As a general statement, we found Caudalie’s claim that the “skin texture is left refined, pores are tightened, the complexion is even” to be accurate if the mask is used consistently. Price: The “Instant Detox Mask” by Caudalie officially retails at $39/75 mL which is pricier than other products in the same range like Clinique’s “City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask and Scrub” which sells at $28/100 mL and Origin’s “Out of Trouble: 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem Skin” which also retails at $28/100 mL.

CAUDALIE
Lip Conditioner
Packaging: The “Lip Conditioner” by Caudalie comes in a white container with a purple grape design on it. The brand and product information are printed in green and purple on the tube. Texture: This product has a buttery texture. Smell: The “Lip Conditioner” has a subtle vanilla and grape scent. Skin Type: This product is designed for all skin types. However, it is recommended as a moisturizer for dry lips. Effect: The “Lip Conditioner” by Caudalie is manufactured without any toxic ingredients. It is enriched in antioxidant properties and shea butter. We tested this product on dry lips and after a few applications, we noticed that this lip treatment made parched lips look plumper and livelier. In fact, the lips’ color was more vibrant, and they felt softer to the touch. Additionally, the “Lip Conditioner” does not coat the lips with a greasy layer like a lot of other lip balms. However, it does make the lips feel sticky and it is never fully absorbed by the skin of the lips. While the “Lip Conditioner” made the lips look heathier, the effects of the product were not long-lasting, and we had to keep applying the lip balm after every couple of hours. After a week, we felt that the “Lip Conditioner” does not act as a treatment like the brand claims, instead the product is best used to make the lips look plumper and not to moisturize and smoothen chapped lips. Price: The “Lip Conditioner” by Caudalie retails at $12/4.5 mL which is a median price compared to other products like L’Occitane en Provence’s “Shea Butter Lip Balm Stick” which sells at $9/4.5 mL and Kiehl’s “Butterstick Lip Treatment” which retails at $19.5/4 mL.

CAUDALIE
Thé des Vignes Nourishing Body Lotion
Packaging: The “Thé des Vignes Nourishing Body Lotion” by Caudalie comes in a purple container with a white pump that dispenses the lotion. The bottle has a light pink grape design on it. The brand and product information are written in white and light pink on the bottle. Skin Type: This product is designed for all skin types. Texture: The “Nourishing Body Lotion” by Caudalie has a very lightweight texture that is neither too creamy nor too runny. Smell: This body lotion has a nice smell that lingers but is not overpowering. Effect: When we tested the “Thé des Vignes Nourishing Body Lotion” by Caudalie we noticed how quickly the skin absorbed the lotion. In fact, it took a few seconds for the product to penetrate the skin. This body lotion did not have any greasy or sticky feeling on the skin. It hydrated the skin and made it smell very fresh. After several applications, the “Thé des Vignes Nourishing Body Lotion” allowed the skin to be replenished and made it look more radiant. It also felt softer and dewier to the touch. In terms of skin reaction, we did not notice any irritation or redness. It felt very gentle and soft on the skin. However, because the “Thé des Vignes Nourishing Body Lotion” is very lightweight, it is a great moisturizer for moderate weather, but it can be too light for the harsher winter months. Price: The “Nourishing Body Lotion” by Caudalie comes in two sizes and prices: $35.5/200 mL and $44.4/400 mL which is pricier than other products in a similar range like: L’Occitane en Provence’s “Terre De Lumière- L'Eau Beautifying Body Milk” which sells at $29/250 mL and Kiehl’s “Crème de Corps” which retails at $30/250 mL.

Thé des Vignes Shower Gel
Packaging: The “Thé des Vignes Shower Gel” by Caudalie comes in a purple squeeze-tube with a transparent dispenser cap. The container has a light pink grape design on it and the brand and product information are printed in pink and white on the tube. Texture: This product has a gel-like texture. Smell: The “Thé des Vignes Shower Gel” has a very nice smell that lingers after application. Skin Type: This product is designed for all skin types. Application: Apply a dollop of this shower gel either directly on the skin or on a loofah. Lather up the product on damp skin and rinse it off thoroughly. Effect: We tested the “Thé des Vignes Shower Gel” by Caudalie almost every day for two weeks. During the shower we noticed that the smell of the product is very nice, and its application is easy. However, a lot of product is needed for the shower gel to lather up. The “Thé des Vignes Shower Gel” is designed without any parabens or harmful ingredients for the skin. The shower gel did not irritate the skin or cause skin outbreaks or redness of any kind. Even when tested on sensitive skin. In fact, it was easy to wash off without leaving any residue. After several applications, we noticed that the skin felt smooth and moisturized. The effects lasted until the next shower: the skin did not dry up or crackle. We even tried a couple of applications without follow-up body lotion. And the effects were still visible: the skin was nourished, and the body felt revitalized because of the freshness of the shower-gel. The downside is the quantity of product needed to lather-up. Otherwise, the “Thé des Vignes Shower Gel” cleaned the skin thoroughly without irritating it and left it smelling great. Price: The “Thé des Vignes Shower Gel” by Caudalie retails at $12/200 mL which is a good price compared to other products in the same range like Kiehl’s “Musk Shower Gel” selling at $20/250 mL and Origin’s “Salt Studs: Foaming Body Wash” which retails at $26/200 mL.

CAUDALIE
VineActiv Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum
Packaging: This serum comes in a light green tube. This color is Caudalie’s signature, and is used to represent the world of herbs and plant used in the products. The tube has a pump that makes the usage of the serum easier and controls the amount of product. Skin Type: This serum can be used on all skin types. Smell: This serum has a strong smell, that might irritate sensitive people. Effect: When used by women ranging between the age of 35 to 50 years, they felt refreshed after applying it on their skin. It also soothes their sensitive skins, all the while hydrating it and making it softer. This serum is made for women that are starting to notice some aging signs on their face. Its composition aims to fight wrinkles through the vitamins it has. But when we tried it for a month, we noticed that its immediate effect is good, but its long term effect is limited. So this serum cannot be considered a remedy for wrinkles and cannot be used by itself, as it doesn’t reduce nor hide fine lines. It actually adds a touch of brightness to the skin when used daily, reduces signs of fatigue, and also unifies the skin tone. Application: The texture of this serum is very light, so it is easily applied and blendable on the skin, and its facilitates the smooth application of the make up. You can apply this serum at night again after cleansing your face. Price: $52 on the official website of Caudalie with a capacity of 30 ml, this price is in the same range of other serums that have the same effect and capacity from other brands like Clinique. But there are other serums with the same effect and capacity but with lower prices from brands like L’Oreal Paris.
