Application:
In the morning and the evening, apply a dollop of the cleanser on a wet face and massage in circular motions while focusing on the T-zone. Wash out thoroughly.
Effect:
We tested this cleanser on sensitive skin and as recommended by the brand. The “Pure Clay Detoxifying Gel Wash Detox and Brighten” was easy to apply because of the runny nature of the product that foamed when applied to wet skin. While massaging the product on the face we found it to be refreshing, and after washing the face, the skin looked brighter and seemed to be cleansed from impurities. After the first use, the face looked brighter and felt softer and the t-zone was balanced out. There was no residue left on the skin after we washed it. The cleanser itself is soap-free, so it was gentle on the skin while unclogging the pores. After several uses, we found that the product can be drying for the skin, so we recommend hydrating the face after use with a moisturizer.
Price:
This product has an average price of $8.9/130 mL which is comparable to other products in the same range like Garnier’s “Skinactive Skin + Shine Control Cleansing Gel” that sells officially at $7.9/150 mL and remains cheaper than Origin’s “Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Exfoliating Cleansing Powder to Clear Pores” which sells at $30/50g.

This product is very nice. I used a whole conatiner of it already. I have combination skin. It doesnt strip my skin at all but cleans very effectively. It literally makes my skin glow after using it. It has a nice scent and lasts a very long time. You only need a very small amount for each wash. It foams up very well too.
Its also affordable. I 100% recommend it after using a whole bottle

This product is wonders! I absolutely love it. It’s veryyy affordable for a cleanser. For a cleanser that good. One pea-sized amount can go a long way. My skin looks brighter and definitely cleaner after using it. MAy I add that I have a sensitive skin and it doesn’t break out nor turn red after using it. Such a blessing.

Very little product goes a long way, it leaves your skin feeling refreshed and clean!
When you wash your face with this cleanser you feel like a cold sensation that is so refreshing and good.
The only downside is that it’s a bit drying so make sure to apply moisturizer afterwards.

apply it like you usually wash your face with soap, it will turn from cream to foam as you spread it in circular motions. enjoy the smell, and it will last, and it’s soooo nice.
After you wash it off, you will feel the nice cold breeze on you face, a bit like a detox burn. and if you feel it = it’s working !!!
you get a brighter, cleaner, clearer, softer, hydrated skin with a very nice smell to it.
i personally use it before bed to clean the dirt of a long day.

The L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Face Wash is gentle enough to use every day.
I applied the face wash on my face in a gentle circular motion. It has a sticky consistency and as with the pure clay detox mask and a little goes a long way. After the first use my skin felt lovely and soft and gave my skin a refreshed feeling.
It is mildly exfoliating, and makes use of charcoal to help draw any impurities from your skin. I am prone to black heads on my nose so am really looking forward to.seeing how this product will tackle those. Overall a pleasant product to use👀

I have mixed feelings about this product as it is an excellent mask to use maybe once or twice per week, but I believe it is bad to use this product daily (twice daily: day and night) as it is not a gentle cleanser for your daily skin routine in the morning and at night.
This mask is charcoal-based and contains clay as a main ingredient, as indicated by its name and on its packaging, therefore it is sticky when you apply it on the face and not smooth-going to apply all over the face, and then it comes a bit messy when washing it off. It made my skin feel tight and brightened my face but I believe it will cause a bit dehydration, especially if you have dry skin, like me since clay absorbs water when wet, so I guess the cream’s ingredients will soak up the hydration of your face until it dries up.
I recommend getting this product to use it as a facial mask once or twice a week to clean out the pores and brighten and tighten the skin 🙂

First of all the packaging I like so easy to get the product out and the quantity of the the product 150ml is worth the money this gel wash is more liquidy than being gelly it smells weird like charcoal as soon as u put on wet skin it’s foams a bit …

After using it u feel the skin is brighter and so smooth I it deeply cleaned my skin used it with my elf cleanser machine it works so nice

I took my time to post my review because it is my first time I use L’oreal’s gel wash. As you know my skin is oily and sensitive so I like to use the products on my skin and then give my opinion. The most important thing that after you use it your skin will be smoother just like baby’s skin. The charcoal inside it detoxifies and brightens your face and you will see instant results.

The L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask line can do no wrong. I use the charcoal clay wash when I’m showering. The pores on my face will have opened up nicely after a hot shower so I just wash my face for 15 to 30 seconds with it and rinse it off with warm water. Instantly glowing skin! I love the scent, I love how it doesn’t dry out the skin, and I love how much product is in the bottle. Highly recommend!

Been trying this for a moment now and don’t know whether I liked it or not. Yes, my skin instantly felt smoother and brighter but on the other hand after several usage my skin became drier. Just to highlight this product is not suitable for makeup removal it is a detoxifying wash that helps remove the residues. Be careful always moisturize after using it .

So let’s keep it simple. Been using this product lately and I find it to be a nice one! It does what it claims in cleaning up the face, has a soft texture and an earthy smell which puts you in the spa mood directly. Use a light moisturizer afterwards and u’ll be good to go! 🤗

I have mixed feelings about this gel wash, I don’t love it but I also dont hate it.
The tube is very nice, and it’s got a transparent part that shows what’s inside. which is good, i like knowing how the product looks like before buying it. I love that it’s charcoal based.
It has a strong pleasant smell, much like the L’Oreal Clay. The texture is thick, It comes out as a thick jelly like substance, which is something I really didn’t like, I didn’t like the feeling when I placed it on my hands but it was okkay as I knead it in my hands and it turned into mousse, which was better.
Some people might be confused when reading that it cleans which means it’s a cleanser, so careful, this is not a cleanser, it is not supposed to remove makeup, it’s not a makeup remover, it can clean the skin from the skin oil, makeup residue and the gunk and just clean the pores. but it shouldn’t be used as a makeup remover.
After it turns into a mousse, just massage the face and distribute it all over, even the neck. and just after massaging the skin, wash it off and rinse all the mousse.
After application, my skin felt so soft and really clean. I have dry skin and I can say that It didn’t dry out my skin more, and it also didn’t cause any breakout, it was more gentle when applying.
I also used this gel before applying the L’Oreal Clay mask, to really clean my face.
The good thing about this product is that it’s accessible and very affordable.
I passed it on to my sister and she loved it.

“Okay so, I’ve tested this product for 2 weeks using it in different ways to see how it works best for my combination to dry skin. Let me tell you, the packaging is really appealing. The texture of the product is slimy, and when it’s mixed with water it doesn’t foam which is very good (it’s soap-free). The face wash smells so so so good! After using this cleanser, my t-zone (usually super oily) was dry but at the same time hydrated, the dry parts of my face were refreshed, and in general my face was detoxified and clear. However, this product dried my face out after several uses in a row (minus t-zone). So I found it worked best after a long shower (hair and body), when my facial pores are dilated! I don’t recommend this product for people with dry skin, but I highly recommend it for oily skin, and I advise moderate use for combination skin for best results! “This product is the best there is. I have an oily skin that dehydrates too; so I’m always stuck between hydrating gel wash products and mattifying ones. However, I’m not anymore thanks to L’Oreal Paris. I highly recommend – The most satisfying and highly effective way is when i washed my face at night before sleeping. “OK when coming to this one, I’m totally in LOVE!! I’ve always been searching for a cleanser to be used every day to brighten my skin. I have an oily skin that never before seemed to be clear and bright. When I received this cleanser in January’s box, I immediately tried it. Using this with the Pure Clay Detoxifying Mask is a perfect combination. My face looks way much better than before. I’m applying this cleanser every morning as routine wash. “The packaging is nice and I love it. At first, it seems liquid then it turns into a foaming cleanser. It really leaves the skin very clean and removes all excess oil from the T-zone. The products smell minty and I loved it. It does brighten the skin and leaves the skin with a fresh glow. This is highly recommended for oily skin, acne-prone skin, and dull skin. I’ve been taking medicine (roaccotane) to cure my acne problem which have left me with a very sensitive skin so I can’t pick any kind of cleanser or even makeup products. I used it for about a week in the morning: I noticed that it cleans deeply and removes all the oils from the face, did not make my skin dry than it looked clean.
Second use:
The following week I used the gel wash the l twice a day during the morning and evening, my skin began showing some of the acne that is formed under the skin.
1) It comes in tube packaging, it’s handy and easy to open. 2) The formula is pretty thick and dense, black in colour. 3) I find the fragrance a bit strong 4) Simple tips to use it : I simply damp my face and neck using water, then I take a little amount of the cleanser on my hand and I massage my face in circular motions, than I rinse it thoroughly with a warm water. 5) I t takes quite of time to remove the product from the face but it left my skin feeling clean and fresh after use. 6) I have dry/ sensitive skin, but I would recommended for those with combination/oily.”

“I always find myself buying cremes and clay masks when I travel to different countries in the Levant (Cyprus, Dubai, Turkey, Egypt) the fact that this clay gel wash is local made my year! I received this gel wash again after using it already & Loving it! “This cleanser itself is dark grey in colour and it has a similar scent to the mask?I absolutely loved this product?? I use it morning and night. This product doesn’t dry or irritate my skin. “This face wash is so good and gentle on the skin with a great foam. You feel it cleans your pores from deep inside. The skin feels so soft and super glowy. I love to clean my face with it before applying my makeup since it makes my skin super soft and ready for any cremes, primers and foundation. This product will simplify Your skincare routine. I wash my face with this twice a day and then I use a day or night cream and im done. It smells really good and it hasnt caused me to break out. “This product is definitely a winner. What I love about this is that it is very much affordable and lasts for a long time and has amazing results. I have had this product for over 6 months and I use it every day as a morning wash for my face and still I have half of it left. One drop goes a long way. Another thing that I love about this product is that it doesn’t dry the face. My face is a normal to dry skin and many face washes have the tendency to dry my face as soon as I apply the towel to remove water. Hence moisturizer is needed after those. However with this product, moisturizer is an option (of course it is better but if you didn’t it wouldn’t feel drying). I always get compliments about my face and how clear my skin in where in fact it isn’t but this product cleanses the face like no other, and detoxifies it by removing the impurities. “I was so happy to receive this cleanser in the Ounousa January box since I was eager to try it. Packaging: the cleanser comes in a 150 ml squeeze tube which is light and practical to carry/travel. It has a runny gel-like formula which is not very watery, and it has a Charcoal scent yet it’s not overwhelming or irritating. The cleanser is free from soap so it doesn’t foam but it lathers well when mixed with water. Experience: I have combination skin which gets most oily on the T zone and a bit dry on my cheeks. At first I was a bit surprised with the formula since I’m not used to the slimy texture but it started growing on me. What I liked best was that it completely cleaned my face and removed all makeup and dirt without drying it. I felt like this cleanser was more like a mask due to its texture, I liked using it the most while taking a shower in order to deeply clean the open pores. I tried another kind of clay cleanser gel from the same line but I loved the charcoal one more. It did not leave my face painfully dry like some cleansers do but I always follow up with moisturizing which I think is best. My only remark is that the bottle gets messy with black material due to the cleanser leaking and staining the lid but it is not a big deal. Compared with the price (retails for 9 dollars) I believe that this cleanser is great for people with combo or oily skin. I have tried other drugstore cleansers and this one gained its place at the top of the list. I think it is also suitable for sensitive skin since it doesn’t cause breakouts and doesn’t contain soap and it is so easy and smooth to work it onto the face with the appropriate amount of water. “I actually always wanted to try this but was rather hesitant since I usually avoid trying new things on my skin. However once I received the tube I quickly changed my mind. Packaging: The cleanser comes in a pale green and charcoal coloured soft plastic tube with a flip-top cap, holding 150ml of product. Texture: The charcoal wash seems very sticky when u first apply it to your face and feels very cold. Its fragrance is also rather pleasant and refreshing. Application: All you have to do is apply it on damp skin and massage it in small circular motions before rinsing thoroughly. It can be quite hard and messy to remove since its formula is very sticky and thick, so I now regularly apply it at the end of a hot shower. The verdict: The cleanser does work miracles deep into your pores and your skin is instantly and visibly clearer, brighter and feels very fresh. I totally recommend this to anyone with sensitive or acne-prone skin as by the end of only the first week, I noticed a remarkable and very positive change. I’ve been going barefaced much more frequently now. Definitely repurchasing.”
