OUR EDITORIAL REVIEW

Packaging:

The “Richly Hydrating Scented Hand Cream” by Kiehl’s comes in a sleek white plastic tube. The brand and product information are written in purple (in orange for the grapefruit and green for the coriander scents) on the tube. The tube has a secured cap dispenser and is very lightweight. Its size also makes it convenient for travel.

Product Scents Available and Tested Product Scent:

This product is available in Grapefruit, Lavendar and Coriander scents. We tested the “Richly Hydrating Scented Hand Cream” in Lavender.

The smell of the product is very rich, and it lingers on the hands after application.

Texture:

This hand cream has a lightweight creamy consistency. It is neither too runny nor too thick.

Application:

Apply a few dollops of this hand cream on clean hands and massage gently. Repeat as necessary.

Effect:

We tested the “Richly Hydrating Scented Hand Cream” by Kiehl’s every day for a week. The product was very gentle on the skin. In fact, we didn’t experience any irritation or discomfort on the hands after application. After a few uses, the hands did feel a lot smoother. And the rich formula moisturized and hydrated the skin deeply. Also, the hands smelled really nice. We also noticed that the dryness on the hands subsided. However, because the cream is absorbed very quickly by the skin, the effect was not long lasting, and we needed to continuously re-apply the cream for optimal results. So, we would not recommend it for those suffering from dry hands. Overall, the “Richly Hydrating Scented Hand Cream” is a good daily cream.

Price:

The “Richly Hydrating Scented Hand Cream” by Kiehl’s sells at an average market price of $15/75mL which is the same as other products in the same range like Caudalie’s “Hand and Nail Cream” which officially retails at $15/75 mL and L’Occitane en Provence’s “Shea Butter Hand Cream” that sells at $30/150mL. It remains however, less expensive than other products in a different range like Clarins’ “Hand and Nails Treatment Cream” which retails at $30/111.6mL.
