Packaging:
The “Huile Prodigieuse” by Nuxe comes in a transparent square-shaped glass bottle with dark brown inscriptions on it. The lid is gold and the oil in the bottle which is gold-toned is reflected on the transparent bottle. There is no dispenser nozzle, so the product is difficult to apply hassle-free.
Types:
This product by Nuxe also exists as “Huile Prodigieuse Or.” A version of the dry oil with shimmers that can also be used on the face, body, and hair. It has a satin and sparkly but non-greasy finish. The “Huile Prodigieuse Or” adds radiance and can accentuate a summer tan on the skin. On the hair, it makes it look shinier- especially when the sun reflects on it.
Skin and Hair Type Tested On:
We tested the “Huile Progieuse” on sensitive skin and on normal but thin hair.
Skin and Hair Type:
This product is multi-purposeful and is designed for all skin and hair types.
Texture:
The “Huile Prodigieuse” has a velvety lightweight texture with a non-greasy finish.
Smell:
This product has a pleasant lingering sweet jasmine smell.
Application:
There are many ways you can use this product: you can apply the dry-oil directly on the face or body and/or you can add some oil to your moisturizer, lotion or foundation before applying it on the face. The “Huile Prodigieuse” can also be used on the hair as a pre-wash oil mask, or after hair styling on the ends to avoid dryness and to tame frizz.
Effect:
We tested the “Huile Prodigieuse” on the hair, face, and the body. We found that the product is non-greasy and has a matte and dry finish. The “Huile Prodigieuse” had both a hydrating and nourishing effect.
On the face, it added a glow to dull and tired skin and allowed for quick moisturization. On the body, especially the legs, the “Huile Prodigieuse” countered the drying effects of the weather and added radiance to the skin.
We also tested the product on the hair. As a pre-wash mask, the product gave the hair suppleness and made it more luscious. When applied to the ends of the hair, the “Huile Prodigieuse” hydrated dry ends very thoroughly and allowed the split ends to be less visible.
If used as a pre-wash hair mask, we recommend the product to be washed with cool or cold water because in some cases it can add greasiness to oily hair. However, overall, this product works very well, and is a convenient travel companion because it does the job of multiple beauty products.
Price:
The “Huile Prodigieuse” retails at an average price of $30/50 mL or $52/100 mL which is cheaper than other products delivering similar effect such as Tarte’s “Maracuja Oil” which sells at $48/50 mL and Bobbi Brown’s “Extra Face Oil” which retails at $70/30 mL.

The oil can penetrate hair fibers and retain water in it which helps improving elasticity for a long period of time.
In addition to that, it strengthens the hair against excessive heat and chemicals, all while moisturizing it and treating its ends by the vitamins E and A it contains.
The product is everything it is said to be. I fell in love with it and with the whole brand. The packaging is elegant, the product itself is credible and the price is worth it.

I have this product since 2 months ago and i apply it at the extends of my hair. It helped me have a fresh look and at the same it it help me reduce the break outs at the ends

I have very dry thick hair and I do not recommend this product for dry hair, I do not recommend oil for dry hair in general as I think it makes it drier.

I love this product!!
It’s really nice on the body and face, it’s very lightweight and moisturizes instantly without any greasy finish. On the hair, it’s very nice as a prewash especially the “Or” version as it adds shimmer and shine to your locks. However, I did not like it for hair tips as it made them greasy yet stiff and clustered, It felt weird to apply it on hair and leaving it, even though I keep trying to use it from time to time on my hair tips to benefit from the shimmery effect of the version that I have. still testing how many sprays are the optimal dose.

Love how luxurious this is! Definitely nourishes and moisturizes the skin or hair! I like using it on damp or dry hair and the results are always amazing! The scent is also amazing! Hints of Jasmine yum! I like the slick packaging however I felt like a pump or a spray would have been more convenient!

“Ever since I started using this oil, I have recommended it to every single girl around me and they are all using it now! “A prodigiously awesome dry oil!!! I have been using it for years now as a daily body moisturizer, post showers for a softer skin. During winter , when my face is dry, I add a drop or two to my day cream. I even use it on the ends of my hair to smooth them. “I love this product leaves you smelling like a flower bouquet and gives you the feeling that you just came out of a spa, without leaving any residual greasiness just a perfect glow. I use it on my body after a shower keeps you moisturized all day long. I mixed a drop with my night cream for an extra boost of hydration the smell also helped me get a more peaceful good night sleep. I did not try using it on my hair since I already have oily hair. “Ok! I’m not exaggerating but everyone should have a bottle. It removes scars if you have acne prone skin type. This multi-usage dry oil helps hydrate skin and can act as antioxidants. It claims to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and also smells of orange blossom, magnolia, and vanilla. Overall I think for the money it is worth it. It has a very nice light fragrance if used in moderation. Skin is better with it than without, a bit of a luxe item. I would recommend and repurchase for sure.”

“I really think everyone should have a bottle ! This lightweight, dry oil is perfect to use all over your face, hair and body. Absolute lifesaver during summer months when you want a quick gleam to your legs, looks so subtle. Because it’s so subtle you just look glowing, not greasy like other brands ! It has lots of vitamin E, which makes sure that the skin is repaired and softened. It also includes various plant oils, which are very efficient at removing any visible signs of stretch marks. Only thing I dislike is that the bottle does not have a spray nozzle, so you have to be careful when pouring. Apart from that I love it! After use, your face will be velvety soft and your skin will look healthier than ever before. Technically i am not a fan of oil based products because of my oily skin. Tried this product for a week after receiving it in my ounousa box. I love the fact that my skin was not visibly oily. It gave my a super natural and healthy glow. I used it on my body after a shower and its subtle scent made it feel really clean. I really enjoyed the glow but it did not suit my skin because it made me break out a bit. Other than that i recommend it for body and hair. I applied a few drops to my ends after i took a shower and it reduced the frizz and left my hair really shiny.
