Kérastase Genesis Masque Reconstituant comes in an elegant jar similar to the brand’s signature packaging for all other masks. However, the color varies based on the range the mask belongs to. The Genesis range has a light, pink color, and is designed for hair prone to falling due to breakage. Its lid closes securely and is embossed with a refined silver lining.
Texture:
This mask has a creamy, lightweight texture that spreads out easily and absorbs into the hair.
Smell:
Kérastase has designated the same scent for all of the Genesis products. When you first smell it, you will instantly notice that it has a masculine whiff and an invigorating smell that lingers even after washing the hair. Indeed, it remained for two days and the more it faded the more pleasant it became. So, you don’t need to add any fragrance to your hair when using the products in this range.

Masque Reconstituant is designed for thick hair prone to falling due to breakage.
Application:
We tried out this mask after shampooing the hair with Genesis Nutri-Fortifiant. We applied a small amount of product with our fingertips and spread it out on the locks from mid-lengths to ends. Then, we twisted the locks a little and left the mask in for 5 minutes before rinsing it off with water. As Kérastase indicates, you should avoid applying it to the roots to avoid oiliness.
Effect:
Masque Reconstituant gave noticeable results right after the first use, unlike many other masks that take a long time to take effect. Upon application, we noticed that our split-ends were repaired and moisturized, which reduced breakage greatly.
The mask also helped detangle the hair without any trouble, diminishing the amount of fallout after combing.
The condition of our hair kept improving every time we used this mask. After combing, the hair looked vibrant and glossy like never before.
After three weeks of use along with the shampoo, the mask fortified the hair more effectively. Hair fallout after combing decreased from 10 strands to not more than one or none at all.
For this reason, you can rely on this product as a nourishing mask and treatment for hair-fall due to breakage, only if used regularly.
Price:
This mask retails at 64.6 USD per 200 ml in Lebanon. It is one of the few masks specially designed to reduce hair-fall due to breakage. This property keeps it on demand, as other available hair masks are usually designed to only nourish or moisturize the hair. This product’s sole competitor would be the Inforcer Strengthening Masque from L’Oreal Professionel, which retails at 28.2 USD per 250 ml.

I’ve been applying it for a couple of weeks now. My roots are very strong but the end of my hair is very weak and thin, after a couple of use i realized that the mask help show that even the hair end looks fuller and fresher. The smell is on another level, and sticks to the hair for at least 36 hours!

I am really fond of Kerastase’s wide range of hair care, this mask is really hydrating and nourishing however concerning anti-shoot issues it can’t be really significant (in such a little time frame). It’s really good but it’s not my favorite out of this brand 😀

First off, it smells so good, i would apply it only for the smell even if it did not do anything else. BUT IT DOES.
first two tries i applied it to the roots before i showered for 2 hours. i didn’t see much difference, no breakage improvement nor hair fall reduction.
then i applied it to the middle and ends of the hair, i could definitely see better results. the hair was feeling thicker, smoother, stronger with no split ends.
i recommend applying it for 2 hours before washing with the shampoo. but no major changed will happen concerning the hair fall. slightly better, but it will still fall.

I received the june box. Just in love and I think is the best hair mask ever its high quality really you will see a huge difference after you use it .and yes its an amazing treatment in 5 min 😉 my hair very soft and shiny and you can easily brushed after the shower . You don’t need to use a lot! Amazing product . Highly recommended .

This product surprised me.
I got this in the June box.
I am very skeptical when it comes to hair masks because I never find nice results.
This mask…from the first use, i felt my hair was 50% much better.
My dry split ends didnt look or feel dry anymore.my hair over all was very shiny. And it was so easy to comb after the shower. It felt so soft.
I have some frizziness in my hair and this mask smoothed them out.
The smell just like the shampoo is amazing and very high quality. I recieved a small jar but I will definitely purchase when its finished because I actually saw fast results. Concerning hair fall….I need more time to see any results. But over all this is a really good mask and worth the money.

I recieved this mask by Ounousa June box. What I loved about it is its very nice floral scent that stays on the hair all day. I also like the fact that it moisturizes the hair very well. However it has a thick texture that is suitable more the dense very dry frizzy hair (not my fine texture). It has silicone in it which i think weighed down my curls. I think it is a fair enough mask but not worth the high price tag.
