The Kérastase Masque Extentioniste is part of the Extentioniste range. It comes in a round green-blue plastic jar, with bi-coloured screw-on cap, dark green-blue and grey at the top. In front and on the back, the information about the product, the ingredients, and application advice can be found. The packaging is nice, quite elegant and well suited for travel.
This mask is designed for unconditioned brittle hair.
Apply a hazelnut-sized amount of the mask to wet hair, working from mid-length to ends. Leave on for 5-10 minutes, then rinse. Depending on the frequency of use, you can leave the mask on for longer if you use the mask less than once a week. We recommend no longer than 15 minutes before rinsing it off.
The Masque Extentioniste is quite white, creamy and quite rich and heavy in texture but it doesn’t really weigh down hair, unless it is quite thin.
It smells very good, a bit flowery and will make your hair smell delicious!
The Kérastase Masque Extentioniste contains Creatine R, Ceramides and Maleic Acid, a formula that helps to repair bonds within the hair structure to improve strength and elasticity, according to the brand. We really noticed the difference after the second use, hair looked almost unbelievably healthy and shiny.
For extremely damaged hair, we recommend a regular use of the masque, in combination with the other products in the same collection. We would advise to have a 3 months long regular routine, with a twice a week use of the mask, to really help your hair regain its elasticity, its shine, and its strength and to avoid breakage. If your hair isn’t too damaged, then we recommend using the masque less regularly: use it for short periods of time, several times a year.
We definitely recommend this mask, especially if you have long damaged hair and you are determined to work towards repair and strengthening your hair, and looking to grow it out.
The Kérastase Masque Extentioniste is sold at 47$ for 200ml.
