The product was used on medium length, combination hair with sensitive and itchy scalp.
Texture:
The shampoo has a gel-like consistency & a small amount goes a long way for foaming.
Scent:
It has a very subtle calming fragrance which refreshes without overpowering as it fades away pretty fast.
Application:
To use the shampoo, we simply massaged it into wet hair with finger tips making sure the product spread on all the hair and rinsed thoroughly to ensure all the product is rinsed off to avoid any risk of dandruff.
Effect:
Contrary to other Kérastase shampoos, this one has a gel consistency which makes a small amount go a long way in terms of foaming and lathering which means it takes a little more effort to rinse out completely. The shampoo was used 3-4 times a week over a period of 3 weeks.
After the first two washes, the cleansing soothing shampoo moisturized and purified the scalp to calm irritation and inflammation. It left the hair with a feeling of lightness while the scalp is rid of itchiness and discomfort.
The shampoo has 4 main ingredients that work in harmony to provide a clean, itch-free scalp:
– Calophyllum Oil which calms irritation with anti- inflammatory actions
– Piroctone which is an anti-bacterial ingredient that soothes itching
– Glycerin which moisturizes the scalp to relax it from external aggressions
– Menthol which refreshes the scalp
Upon two weeks after the first wash, our hair felt soothed, light and weightless. For someone who has curly hair, the shampoo works wonders in smoothing out the frizz and giving the hair an extra bounce without any ‘fake coating’ of the hair strands as it is silicone free.
The only downside of this shampoo is that we needed to use a hydrating conditioner after it as we felt a little dryness of the hair after 2 weeks of usage.
Price:
This shampoo retails in Lebanon for $26.9/250ml which is slightly more expensive then L’Oréal Professionnel Source Essentielle Delicate Shampoo sold at 25.2$ for 300ml, but more affordable then René Furterer Astera Soothing Freshness Shampoo sold at 26$/200ml.

lets start with the packaging, a small transparent bottle very cute and convenient for traveling. A very light smell , leaves the hair refreshed without over suffocating it. The texture is gel like , a small amount makes alot, I have medium length hair that is very sensitive,which causes it to itch quite sometimes. After i used it for the first time , it instantly made my hair feel more lightweight,fresh,and more smooth. In addition it helped reduce the frizz that always appears after i take a shower. Overall i loved it ,and can honestly say that i would rebuy it again once I finish with the one I have .

A small bottle easy for packaging and travel, very convinient!
It has a soft smell that helps you enjoy your bath. After a couple of uses it gave instant effect and helped my very sensitive scalp to calm down. My hair used to hurt when moved from side to side which stopped after the second use of the shampoo. It leaves the hair very fresh and silky and most importantly doesnt frizz after the shower. I loved it! Very recommended 🙂

My scalp is very sensitive and used to be itchy but when I started to use this shampoo it suits my hair type and helped my scalp to be better not red all the time and no more itches and that’s only from 4 uses

Contrary to other non-foaming shampoo, it gives foam during the shower and moisturizes my hair especially that my hair are exposed to chlorinated water every day. So it gets rid of all the discomfort.
