Packaging:
The Kérastase Genesis Fondant Renforçateur comes in an elegant bottle that resembles other types of conditioner from this brand. The bottles vary in color though, as the Genesis range is packaged in a light pink shade. This bottle has a silver cap that closes securely, and its narrow opening dispenses the perfect amount of product needed.
Texture:
This conditioner has a thick, creamy texture.
Smell:
Just like other products from the Genesis range, the Fondant Renforçateur conditioner has a strong smell with a masculine whiff when applied into the palms. But the smell fades out after washing the hair and only a slight hint lingers until the following day.
Hair Type:
This conditioner is suitable for weakened hair prone to falling due to breakage.
Application:
Kérastase recommends applying only a hazelnut-sized amount of product on washed hair and then towel drying it. We found that the specified amount is enough to cover the locks from the mid-lengths and down to the ends, avoiding the roots. We left it in for 3 minutes, then massaged it through the hair and rinsed it off thoroughly.
We used this conditioner along with the Genesis Hydra-Fortifiant shampoo designed for weakened hair prone to falling as well.
Effect:
When we first laid hands on this conditioner, we wanted to learn more about its ingredients. The more natural they were, the more we looked forward to using it to wash our hair. Once we checked out the inscriptions, we found that it was rich in natural oils (such as soybean oil, sunflower oil…) and nourishing components such as Ginger Root.
The effects of this conditioner were visible upon the first use. Seeing that our hair suffered from breakage when brushed out after washing, Fondant Renforçateur helped detangle the locks effortlessly. After towel drying the hair, the comb ran through the strands as smoothly as ever. This is one of the conditioner’s perks, as the amount of hair caught up in the comb diminished compared to before.
Blow-drying the hair was also a piece of cake. Styling the locks was simple, and we didn’t experience any fluff or frizz as we did previously.
We noticed that the strength of the hair started improving with every use. After a month of use, the amount of fallout due to breakage decreased significantly thanks to this conditioner and its complementary shampoo.
So, if you have fine hair and you struggle with fallout, we recommend using this conditioner as part of your hair care routine.
Price:
The Kérastase Genesis Fondant Renforçateur retails at 48.4 USD per 200 ml in Lebanon. It’s considered a bit pricy compared to other conditioners designed to reduce hair falling due to breakage. For instance, Inforcer Anti-Breakage conditioner from L’Oreal Professionel retails at 25.3 USD for the same capacity. So does Dercos Energizing-Fortifying Conditioner Anti-Hair Loss Complement from Vichy, which retails at 27 USD per 150 ml.

I used the fondant renforcateur from the Genesis line along with its shampoo, and the results were amazing! Not only did the combination reduce my hair loss by a lot, it also provided shine and hydration during the harsh summer conditions. The amazing smell of this line is just the cherry on top!🍒

This conditioner is not like any conditioner you find in the market.
The packaging is simple and it is has a unique coral color.
The texture is thick and creamy, not like any other conditioner (runny and creamy).
The smell, like its shampoo, is AMAZING. A tropical feel that lingers after the shower. Breathtaking.
My hair is damaged due to excess bleaching, and it worked like a magic. I felt instant change in my hair texture the minute I applied it to my hair. Moreover, the effect doesn’t vanish after washing it off.
My favorite element was the smell, and the effect it did to my hair. SPEECHLESS!!!

I simply loved everything about this reinforcing Conditionner. The consistency the smell and the results. It’s recommended that you apply it on the bottom half down to the split ends. But although I applied it on all my hair reaching the scalp too, the results were sublime and my hair didn’t get greasy the very next day. I got Smooth silky hair with no frizz and less breakage. I truly loved it!! And it gave volume to my very thin and delicate hair.

Having thin and oily hair, conditioner is something i don’t usually enjoy but this one is different. It did help my hair feel and look healthier and I’m noticing some shine whenever i use it without being greasy on my hair. Love the smell and will continue using it

This product is amazing, it leaves the hair very smooth and gives an amazing shine at the end. Using it with the bain hydra fortifiant shampoo, they are considered the best combination for thin hair.
