Skin Type:
This cream is suitable for all skin types.
Texture:
The product has a velvety texture that is quite thick but once spread onto the face it glides on effortlessly.
Application:
To get the most out of the moisturizer, guidelines are to make it part of the regular skincare regimen and apply it to clean skin every morning under makeup, and every night after cleansing and rubbing over the face, neck and décolleté. The product can be used alone or after your serum. For better absorption, we applied the gel with circular motions and used it instead of the daily moisturizer.
Effect:
Most moisturizers improve skin hydration by limiting the evaporation of water from the skin and/or by binding moisture in to the outer layer of the skin with humectants such as Glycerin. Nevertheless, our skin also has its own hydration system – the Aquaporins. These microscopic channels transport water between skin cells and support skin hydration from within.
The innovation of Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE is that it is formulated with nature-identical Gluco Glycerol, a state-of-the-art hydrating ingredient, which enhances the natural strength of these Aquaporins and even increases their number in the skin. This means that, in addition to limiting evaporation and binding water into the outer layers of skin, Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE enhances skin’s own moisture supply thus maintaining the skin’s hydration balance.
The velvety texture of the product allows for quick and complete absorption by the skin. It is pure moisture that penetrates quickly, deeply and continuously – without overloading the skin or feeling heavy. So, when it comes to moisturizing the skin, it is safe to say that after 2 weeks of usage, our skin felt infused with moisture that is locked in relieving the skin from any tightness and leaving the skin smooth and supple.
An added positive result is that the moisturizer contains SPF25 UVB + UVA protection which effectively helps protect the skin against UV-induced skin damage.
The only downside to the product is that since it comes in a jar format, it has more contact with the air and dries quicker forming a thin film on the surface that could jeopardize any results.

Eucerin Aqua Porin Active UV Cream retails for 42$/50ml which is more expensive then Cetaphil UV Cream sold for 35.5$/50ml or even Vichy UV Protect Skin Defense Daily Care sold for 30$/40ml.

If you need a thick DEEP moisturizer you have to get this. I used every morning if you have flky skin it vanish them.

I though it has a thick texture but in fact it feels lite on the skin. This moisturizer is absorbed quickly by the skin and it hydrates well light. It spreads nicely so the jar will last well, only a small amount on your finger will do the job. And finally it gives a healthy glow. It’s recommended especially with this dry weather.

Though it has a thick texture, this moisturizer is absorbed quickly by the skin (anything with spf is going to have a thick texture so no surprise here). It hydrates well and feels light on the skin. Gives a healthy glow without looking oily. You only need a small amount and it spreads nicely so the jar will last a significant amount of time.

This Day cream is deeply moisturizing but I found it to suit dry skin better and I couldn’t use it on hot days as it runs and melts when you sweat. I have a combination skin and I felt that my skin needs a long time to absorb it although I apply just the right amount. It’s not suitable to use it before makeup and it feels kind of sticky for a little while. I think it’s a great moisturizer for dry skin or super cold winter days when you face feels tight and drier. I am currently using it as I am on Retinoids so it’s helping me relieve the annoying skin tightening and dryness. I recommend it for people with dry skin and flaking or for those cold days. I love that it’s fragrance free and has spf 25.

The deep hydration was not suitable for my acne-prone skin! I think it is more suitable for dry skin types since it has a large hydration effect!
