Packaging:

The Unlimited foundation by Kiko comes in a 30ml transparent glass bottle with a pump dispenser that is protected by a plastic cap. The pump itself is very receptive to touch and pumps out just the right amount of product and keeps repeat applications hygienic. It also closes tightly and protectively making this product very travel friendly.

Shades:

The foundation has 17 different shades ranging from very light nude to darker shades catering therefore to different skin colors and tones.

Smell:

This foundation is fragrance-free.

Texture:

The light foundation has a velvety smooth texture that’s a breeze to apply and adjust.

The product was used on a combination skin

Application:

For the application, we prepped the skin with a primer then applied the foundation on the cheeks, bridge of the nose, chin and forehead and used a makeup sponge to blend outwards. To make the foundation last longer and especially if the skin is a combination or oily type, we used a setting powder to keep everything in place. The powder will give it a beautiful matte look.

Effect:

The foundation gives a natural and medium coverage (that can be easily built up to full) while feeling lightweight on the skin making it ideal for daily wear. It evens out the skin tone and blurs out the appearance of large pores and redness. On top, given that the skin tested on was combination/oily, we found that the long-wearing foundation really helped reduce the oiliness, did not crease and did not become greasy after extensive wear. The sea lavender extracts in the formula give a lift and clarity to the skin while its blend of exotic oils hydrates and nourishes it. Furthermore, this product will protect your skin with a UV protection of SPF 15. Add to that the fact that it is paraben and fragrance free and the foundation becomes essential for daily use providing both coverage and protection. No need for any sunscreen prior to application. When it comes to longevity, the product stayed on for about five to six hours on normal, dry, and combination skin which can be easily extended by adding a primer and a compact to the makeup routine.

Price:

The Unlimited Foundation retails at a price of 26$/30ml which makes it more expensive to other products such as Dream Satin foundation by Maybelline at 20$/30ml but comparable to L’Oréal True Match Liquid foundation at 26$/30ml
