This SPF50+ sunscreen is one I’ve been using for a long time now.
First of all I love the packaging, the pump helps you pump out as much as you can. Also it helps keep out of any unnecessary wastage.
Second of all, the product’s texture is just G R E A T. You need to massage it to get it absorbed by your skin (which is normal cause it’s a creamy texture) and after that, nothing. This is exactly how you feel. You feel that’s there’s nothing on your face. No sticky feeling whatsoever while assuring protection. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Love this sunscreen when i start to put sunscreen on my face avene is the fist one that i ve tried.
But i have a little problem with this sunscreen, i have an oily skin, it makes my skin oily after few hours but for other skin types it works.

Yes that’s true. I used to use it before and I really liked it but I used to live somewhere in Africa that I can’t always find avene products there and for this reason I changed to my favorite Laroche posay. But on the bright side this one is still amazing and I loved it.

This is the sunscreen I use on a regular basis and it works like a charm for my complexion. The scent is also fresh just like other Avene products. The only reason it didn’t receive 5 stars is because it feels rather heavy on the face.

This cream is soooooo ammmaazing … i started using it since i was 16 years old … speciallyy because i have a lot of freckles on my face sooo it was giving me a very hight protection specially on the beach and my skin was and still looking good and healthy due to this cream … i use it everyday ..can’t start my day without using it <3

“I used to apply this daily during summer and I’ve noticed that my skin had less hyper-pigmentation because it was constantly being sheltered from the sun. Has a nice texture, not ashy and not lumpy, it applies smoothly and seamlessly. Would advise this for every day use.”

My summer all-time favorite suncreen! Although I think its a little bit thick but thats not a problem to me. Don’t forget to wait about 5 mins to put on your foundation or BB cream.

This sun protection is extremely helpful when you already have brown spots due to sun exposure and want to prevent the appearance of new ones. The texture is a bit thick but is fully absorbed which means your makeup won’t become cakey.

I have a dry and very sensitive skin and Avene high protection is the perfect solution for my sun marks. I only apply it once a day before wearing make up and I use it as a moisturizer cause of it’s soft texture. Just wait a bit before applying make up in order not to make it look greasy.

“Great product! A little bit goes a long way, especially since the consistency is very light. The scent is not the best but is not a bother. It does leave a white-cast on the skin so I would recommend using a small amount and spreading it properly, or applying the cream for a day at the beach, perfect if you don’t like to re-apply constantly.”

I like the pump tube for the hygienic aspect. The cream texture feels a bit greasy and it doesn’t have any fragrance at all. I trust the brand so I would use the product. But I would have preferred the tinted version of it since this one made me look pale.

“I loved this sunscreen. I tend to use many sunscreens as multiple layers to ensure I don’t get sun damage, however, I used this one on it’s own to give it a try and when my shoulders and arms got a sunburn, my face stayed intact. The smell of it reminded me of the sunscreen I used as a child which made me not want to use it as much on a daily basis but rather save it for my beach days. The texture is very easy to apply but a bit too thick for my liking but it certainly does the trick! Would surely recommend to beach goers!”

“Aven spf 50 is one of the greatest face sunscreens protection I have ever used. The package is practical and can be easily carried in the purse. The texture is a bit thick although I could put many layers for a greater protection since it dries out quickly. I have used it continuously for 14 days (when 2 full days were spent on the beach) and obviously found out that my face remained lighter than my body with no burns. I have also tried it as a primer under my everyday makeup. Personally, I consider it perfect for a sensitive skin and recommend trying it.”

“Very good sunscreen. I have been using it for a while and I am happy with the results. It’s gentle, easy to apply and does not leave streaks. One to two pumps are enough for the face and neck area. However, just like any other sunscreen, you must reapply frequently to maintain a high sun protection. The best of all it’s made of thermal water which gives the best minerals needed to the skin. I highly recommend it to all type of skins ;)”

“The first thing I noticed about this product from Avène is that you need a minimum of 5 pumps to cover your face completely since it doesn’t spread easily on the skin due to its thick texture, I didn’t find this very convenient comparing to the size of the package – I would have prefered if its capacity was 100 ml instead of 50 ml for it to last with me for a longer period of time. As for the effect of the product, I would say it’s pretty good since I didn’t notice any redness on my skin while and after wearing it. It didn’t have any scent and it came in a neat summer-ish package, it’s small in size so it fits in your purse.”

“While applying this sunscreen on my face, I noticed that my skin was instantaneously absorbing it. My skin felt smooth and hydrated, and there were no run-offs when I got into the water. Although I had to pump the tube 6 times to cover my entire face, I didn’t feel the need to reapply any sunscreen after a few hours, and my skin was well protected at the end of the day. “Usually i don’t have the courage to change my daily sunscreen, yes i’ve been using the same product for the last 6 years. But i Totally loved the AVÈNE VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPF 50 and especially on the beach since it is waterproof and i don’t have to reapply it several times. But on daily basis, the AVÈNE VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPF 50 wasn’t the right choice for my oily skin when applying foundation!”

“I really loved Avene’s sunscreen, sunscreen wasn’t something I use in my daily routine unless if I’m going to the beach. But, recently I noticed that my skin was dried and especially when I’m working out or running in the morning. What I like the most is that it is waterproof so its effect lasts while sweating during the workouts. “I use sun protection all year round & I have a very sensitive dry skin. What I like about this sunscreen: – Gentle, lightweight, and water resistant (which means I can wear it on a normal day or at the beach… – Hydrates very well (I have a dry skin so this is a plus) – Broad spectrum sun protection, (crucial for my sensitive skin) – Functional packaging – It contains pre-tocopheryl, a vitamin E precursor, which is a powerful antioxidant meaning that it can protect my skin against free radicals(anti-aging), protecting my skin from free radicals is the reason why I wear sunscreen all year round – It didn’t irritate my skin, this is an important issue for me, since other sunscreens can make me break out easily Even though it claims it doesn’t leave white cast, it did. I’ve actually used the Cleanance cleanser from Avene and I haven’t been happier from its results so the brand is really tops. As for the pricing, I think $35 is very affordable for a pharmaceutical brand of sunscreen. To recommend? Definitely! Will I buy it again? Of course!”

“Avene Emulsion’s texture is super light. Not only it prevented my skin and face from redness or pimples, it kept my tattoos protected from any sunrays that could potentially affect their colors. “My skin is extremely sensitive, that as soon as it sees the light, spots and freckles appear. So, putting a sunscreen on a daily basis is extremely important. I have tried many sunscreens, but this one is really good. I use the emulsion one, as my skin is a combination, and it goes matte throughout the day while protecting it. “I usually don’t like using sun protection because all the ones I tried before had a very thick texture and would take forever to be completely absorbed by the skin, which is not very practical when you’re in a hurry and need to get your makeup done in a jiffy. Avene’s sun protection is absorbed quickly and leaves the skin hydrated and soft without it being moist and leading to a cakey makeup. All in all I think it works as a protection and a hydrating cream incognito. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who has oily skin like me and who’s always afraid of using products that may cause a breakout.”
