Packaging:
The “Exfoliating Scrub” by Clinique is package in a plastic tube with a screw-on lid. The packaging is light green with the product and brand information printed in black on it. Overall, the product looks very sleek and elegant.
Texture:
The scrub is creamy and has a thick consistency. It also contains small exfoliating particles that make it feel grainy upon application.
Smell:
This product has a strong menthol scent.
Application:
With your fingers, apply the exfoliating scrub onto skin in circular motion. Rinse the skin thoroughly after applications and dry it with a soft towel. Avoid the areas around the eyes and lips. Do not use this product if you have acne or if your skin is breaking-out. This scrub is recommended for morning use.
Effect:
We tested the “Exfoliating Scrub” every day for a week. We found that the scrub was easy to apply and glides easily on the face. The exfoliating particles apply a gentle pressure on the face. After washing, the scrub leaves a nice cooling sensation on the skin which makes it feel refreshed.
After a few applications, we noticed that the skin started becoming brighter. And there was a significant difference in the skin’s feel. In fact, the scrub not only added a glow to the skin, but also made it softer. The pores were less visible, and some fine lines around the mouth subsided. Overall, we experienced fewer skin breakouts. This difference can be attributed to the fact that the exfoliator controlled the skin’s production of sebum. Around the T-zone especially, the skin was less oily and was mattified. The product worked well on normal combination and oily skin. However, for sensitive skin that is also oily, we experienced some redness because of the exfoliating particles. However, there was no long-lasting irritation and the redness subsided a few minutes after.
Price:
The “Exfoliating Scrub” by Clinique sells at an average price of $22.5/100mL which is a bit pricier than other similar products in this range like Kiehl’s “Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser” which retails at an average price of $23/150mL. However, it remains cheaper than similar products in a different range such as Chanel’s “Gommage Microperlé Éclat” that sells at an average of $45/75mL.

This is an excellent scrub. Not only doest it exfoliate the skin, it also leaves it super smooth. It’s like a scrub and a skin softener at the same time.

This scrub will give you an instant baby skin, you just need a pea-sized amount once to twice a week so this big tube is going to last you forever. Don’t forget to also use it over your neck!

Mixed feelings on this. It actually was nice on my face but I experienced some redness and itchiness, they went right away but I stopped using it since then because I don’t need any itchiness in my life lol
