The “Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick” by Kar Von D has a studded black packaging. The packaging is solid and the cap is practical because it snaps shut. The studs line up when the cap is snapped shut which makes it aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Texture:

This lipstick has a creamy and smooth texture.

Smell:

The product has a sweet smell that can be overpowering.

Colors Available and Color Tested:

“The Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick” comes in more than 40 shiny, shimmery and metallic shades. The colors of the lipstick range from nudes, pinks, reds, violets, greens, browns, blacks and blues. We tested the lipstick in “Mother” a satin matte dusty mauve.

Effect:

When we tested the “Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick” by Kat Von D we noticed how highly pigmented it is. In fact, one layer is enough to provide full matte coverage. The texture of the product is smooth which makes it easy to apply. We found that the lipstick glides easily on the lips.
Additionally, the “Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick” maintains its depth of color, richness and satin effect for hours at a time without fading. The product is not entirely transfer proof, which is not unusual for a creamy lipstick. On the upside, the product did not fade easily, nor did it smudge or crease.
Although this lipstick is creamy, we recommend, as always, to exfoliate the lips before applying the product. This is to ensure that the lipstick doesn’t accentuate the look of fine lines or chapped lips.

Price:

The “Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick” by Kat Von D sells at $20/3.4g which is comparable to other products in a similar range like Anastasia Beverly Hills’ “Matte Lipstick” which retails at $18/3.5g and Becca’s “Ultimate Lipstick Love” which sells at $24/3.3g. It is cheaper than products in a different range like Yves Saint Laurent Beauty’s “Heart & Arrow Collector Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick” which retails at $38/3.2g.
