this foundation has a medium coverage very liquidy and spreads on the skin leaves a natural finish not matte for luminous

As a foundation this is amazing! What i hate about is the fact that certain colours are often missing at the loreal counters. Otherwise, it gives me a smooth blank canvas to work with! And i really do love it.

Not suitable for oily skin, it has a satin beautiful finish but does not build up nicely and makes me shiny shortly after application.

I tried this fondation and I liked it. It gives you shine and medium coverage, looks healthy on the skin. It’s easy to apply very well both with the brush and the sponge.

OUR EDITORIAL REVIEW

Packaging:

The foundation comes in a transparent and sleek 30ml glass bottle. It comes with a pump which gives out a decent amount of product i.e. no over pumping or dripping.

Available Colors:

There are 23 shades in the range allowing it to cater to any skin color and complexion.

Texture:

The foundation has a very smooth silky and creamy texture. It is not a thick liquid rather a thin runny formula that blends easily on the skin.

Application:

Before applying the foundation, we used the L’Oréal Infaillible Primer as a base using a silicone makeup sponge. Then, we pumped a few dots of the True Match foundation onto the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. Using our fingertips or a damp beauty blending sponge, we blended the lightweight foundation outwards towards the hairline and downwards towards the neck.

We noticed that if we do not follow the above with a setting spray or finishing powder, the foundation could cling to patches of skin making the application of other products (such as blush and bronzer) more difficult. It also increases the chances of the formula becoming cakey throughout the day.

Effect:

The benefit of the foundation is that it is neither matte or dewy but more a satin finish which makes the skin look beautiful, smooth & radiant. It gives a good medium coverage that is buildable to full coverage but still allows the skin to show through, in a flawless way. It corrects the blemishes and red spots and evens the skin tone in a natural finish.

Also, the product was worn for approximately 8 hours and lasted all day without greasing, caking or dragging on the skin. Finally, it has as well a protection of SPF17 which provides protection on top of coverage and beauty.

Price:

The retail price for this product is 26$/30gr. Other similar products such as Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Soft Matte Longwear Foundation retails at 34$/27ml or NYX’s Total Control Drop Foundation at 14$/30ml making L’Oréal True Match an affordable yet effective option.
