Colors Available and Color Tested:
The “Hoola Matte Bronzer” comes in two colors: natural bronze and natural light bronze. We tested the natural light bronze shade.
For optimal results and a natural tan look, apply the bronzer on the cheekbones, chin and forehead.
We tested the “Hoola Matte Bronzer” in the natural light bronze shade for both: natural and more daring looks. After application we noticed how soft and easy to use the brush was. It applied the perfect amount of product without overpowering the look. The powder is buildable, so it was easy to choose the intensity of tan we wanted to appear on the skin. The finish of the “Hoola Matte Bronzer” was perfectly matte and it did not crease throughout the day. Additionally, the bronzer had a very long staying power and did not need to be touched-up after the initial application. The light shade did not brighten the skin tone too much, instead, it allowed it to appear naturally illuminated. However, we found that for women with medium skin tones, the natural bronze shade was too dark and the natural light bronze too light. So, we recommend checking the bronzer at the store before purchase.
The “Hoola Matte Bronzer” by Benefit Cosmetics comes in two sizes and prices that average $16/3.96mL and $30/8mL which is a median price compared to other products in the same range such as MAC Cosmetics’ “Bronzing Powder” which retails at $34/10mL and Too Faced’s “Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer” which sells at $30/8mL. It remains however, less expensive than other products in a different range like Clinique’s “True Bronze Pressed Powder” which retails at $29/9.6mL.
