Packaging:
The Benefit “Watt’s Up! highlighter” comes in a metallic, double-ended tube: one of which is a small applicator sponge covered with a transparent lid, while the other holds the highlighter covered with a metallic lid. The tube is adorned with light bulbs that signify its ability to illuminate the face. The highlighter also comes in a mini size, but without an applicator sponge.
Texture:
This highlighter has a creamy formula.
Smell:
This highlighter is odorless.
Application:
You can turn up the wattage on several spots on your face with this highlighter: cheekbones, bridge of the nose, mid-chin, cupid’s bow, and brow bone. You can apply a hint of highlighter at the inner corners of the eyes as well. If you’re using the standard Watt’s Up! size, you can spread and blend it out with other products on your face using the available sponge. In case you’re using the mini size, you can spread and blend it out using a highlighter brush.
Effect:
You might find it challenging to get the hang of this creamy highlighter if you’re used to applying powder ones. However, Benefit’s Watt’s Up! highlighter glides on the skin effortlessly, and blends out quickly with existing makeup. Its instantaneous effect adds sheen to the designated area without overdoing it like other highlighters would. It has a champagne color that infuses a natural glow to the face as well. You might not find it appealing if you prefer bolder colors, though. As for its lasting effect, we tried out this highlighter on normal skin and it lasted for around 5 hours before fading out gradually. So if a long day or a special occasion awaits, it’s best to keep it in your bag to retouch it when necessary.
Price:
This highlighter retails at 43 USD for the standard size (9.4 g) in Lebanon. It’s considered to be pricy in comparison with other tube-like highlighters. For instance, L’Oréal Paris Infaillible Highlighter Shaping Stick (9 g) is sold at 16.5 USD. Even powder highlighters such as Max Factor Miracle Glow Duo Creamy Highlighter sell for 18.5 USD per 9 g.

the first time I tried this highlighter was from a palette and i was addicted ever since. it was the only item to hit pan in the palette before it was empty I quickly got a full-size backup. I love the glow it gives you could keep it subtle or have a blinding highlight

If you are looking for a subtle yet gorgeous highlighter, this one is the best for you. “watt’s up” is my Favorite currently, i love it for everyday makeup, the color and the formula are amazing, personally i like to apply it with my finger to highlight the cheeks and the inner corner of my eyes. I hesitated before buying it because it’s pricey, but it does worth it.

I’m so glad I purchased this product. Because my skin is oily, I have a hard time finding highlighters that actually stay put and look natural. Watt’s Up actually lasts on my skin, and gives me a gorgeous “lit from within” glow. The formula is creamy and buildable

“Weird title I know but hopefully you’ll get my point after my review. This highlighter is one of my favorites however I don’t use it much. I feel like it needs too much effort to apply it on.If you directly apply from the stick and dab it with the sponge that comes with it , I feel that the shine is gone. What I mean is that the same shine That i swatched on my hand wasn’t the shine on my face. UNTIL !!! I tried applying it with my fingers; I gave it a hit of circular motions and due to the heat and friction it melted and became easier to just dab on my cheekbones or nose or wherever you want to highlight and apply it. It has a great color to be very honest and very natural meaning that the shimmers aren’t that evident but you can still tell it’s a natural glow. I like to put it once I got no eyeshadow but a very clean base. It adds life to my face without it being too much.Wouldn’t advice this for a heavy makeup”

“Well, in my personal opinion it is very nice highlighter specially for natural looks. However, if you have a big event I don’t recommend it because it is not super pigmented. That’s why I recommend also for daily use. And it deserves 5 stars for daily use not for special occasion.”

“I was not impressed by this highlighter. I didn’t like the texture, it feels too moist or even sticky and emphasizes the pore apparition on your skin. You could find many better options and for much cheaper. The only thing I liked was the applicator and the packaging which are very creative. “I received this as a sample size in the Ounousa Reviews October box. Packaging: the tube looks very cute and it is very small it fits anywhere easily. It smells like chocolate but the smell is not overpowering. The texture is so creamy and buttery and I believe it is a universal golden shade which fits all even fair skin-tones like mine. Experience: I have never tried stick highlighters before and I was worried about several issues. I thought that since it is a stick I have to apply pressure on my face which will remove my foundation/base but THIS DID NOT HAPPEN and I couldn’t get any happier. It glides on very easily and swiftly and immediately gives a nice sheen to the skin. It is very wet-looking, not glittery at all, and gives a natural finish yet you can build it up! I have been applying this to work for quite some time and its glow remained the same after 9 hours. I get many compliments when I wear this. I would recommend this product if you want to experiment with stick highlighters and are willing to spend some cash on it but if you are on a budget then I would recommend you save some money and try the NYX or Max Factor stick highlighters since they do an amazing job as well.”

“Well, I got this one on my bday last year and for some reason I never used it. It is subjective though because I like to use palette highlighters with brushes and all. It is also psychological because whenever I apply this one, I look closer at the mirror to make sure the highlighter stuck on my face and then I sometimes notice I put too much. My word of advice: trust that it’s sticking and don’t over do it, sometimes if you put it well you don’t even have to blend it with ur fingers. Today after I applied I thought that I should keep this in my purse, instead of taking the brush out with me and the palette. It is less messy and it does the job. I’m going to give this product another chance. ^_^”

“Benefit Watt’s Up! Highlighter, is a solid cream to powder highlighter stick. I have the sample sized version so it doesn’t come with that applicator. 1) Packaging: The packaging is really cute, adorable and sturdy. 2) Color of this highlighter is light, which is a very nice color on my pale skin. It comes in the most beautiful shade of golden champagne. It give you a natural glow, isn’t glittery. 3) Formula: The formula is smooth, it blends easily with the skin. Doesn’t have a sticky feel. Even a smallest amount of the product goes a long way, which is great cause it means it last for months. This is great if you’re going to work or university. 4) Long lasting: The product has great longevity, without needing reapplication (in wear and with daily use) It lasts a very long time and staying for a good 6 to 8 hours. 5) My own experience: (what I liked?) This highlighter is pretty much one of the best I have used because I really enjoy this product itself is provide such a lovely glow to your skin and is so natural looking. It’s fantastic for every day wear. It’s creamy and pigmented. It give a healthy glow without making my skin look to shiny. It’s a light coverage, easy to apply and it makes your cheeks brighter. 6)How to use? (tips) a-I apply it directly from the tube b-I use it on my cheekbones, nose, under my brow bone and sometimes in the corner of my eyes. c-It applies with a brush or sponge but I prefer to use my ring finger to apply it cause I find that fingers give the best result (It heats the product up and melts into our skin) and give a natural look. 7) Price: Maybe not the best for a beginner. It’s expensive but the product will last you forever. 8) Recommendation: I highly recommend this product for who wanting a natural look. I’m so happy to discover it. I would definitely buy it again.”

“I received the Benefit Watt’s up highlighter in the Ounousa Review October Box and I think the product is great! I’m not usually a fan of highlighters as I usually go for matte looks with a natural glow (if any), but I did like this highlighter. The product is not overly oily or slippy, just creamy enough to blend in very nicely and naturally. What I love the most is that it doesn’t shine or show too much like other highlighters would (which honestly looks very bad and fake in my opinion), it just gives off the right glow when light hits at the right angle. Just enough. However, the formula is a bit too thick for my taste and I think it can cause clogged pores if worn for too long.”

“As a cream highlighter it definitely gets the job done, by giving you a subtle glow. It does mess up a bit the foundation, so i would recommend it for everyday use, if you don’t have foundation on. I didn’t get the chance to try the sponge at the other end, but it applied and blended perfectly with my fingers.”

“This highlighter is pretty much one of the best I have used and I have used A LOT of highlighters from various brands, so that goes to say a lot! Firstly, I generally use this product to give my cheek and brow bones a more prominent appearance. It definitely makes both my cheek and brow bones stand out a lot more and gives my face a lot more of an balanced and angular appearance (which is something I love, as I have a not very prominent, dull round face). The formula is smooth and consistent. It blends in very well with the skin and even the smallest amount of the product goes a long way, which is great cause it means it last for months and months. After using this product for almost 1 whole year, I can honestly say its one of my holy grail products when it comes to highlighters. Definitely in my top three and I’ve have repurchased it at least 3 times and will definitely be continuing to do so :)”

I got the travel size highlighter I love it its not too strong not too creamy not too dry the full size has this brush under it but the travel size doesn’t I loved it but i wouldn’t buy it because they test on animals I prefer buying cruelty-free products

“This small product has a great looking package. In my opinion, the effect given after applying this highlighting cream is not so clear and obvious, especially in photos. However, it can be used as a base to your powder highlighter so it can be fixed so well and can give a double or triple highlighting effect compared to that when using each alone. In addition, it is so easy to spread this light cream on your skin.”

“I like the small size of it, u can carry it with you anywhere for quick retouches. Although the texture is smooth, it doesn’t blend well once applied on the skin. It might keep marks showing where the tube touched ur face.”
