The Benefit They’re Real! Duo eyeshadow blender comes in a black cardboard box. The first thing the eye notices is the word “Real!” written across the box, in bright orange. The top of the box shows a couple of pictures of eyes applying and wearing the eyeshadow. Once you open the box, you will find a metal casing. This Benefit duo eyeshadow holds two shades in one single pan. The pan has the two shadows stacked on top of each other horizontally and on the opposite side, a thin long mirror. It also comes with a funky round shaped sponge applicator on the side of the metal case, shaped like the top of a microphone. It’s the brand’s signature brush, called the ShadowBlender. The packaging is beautiful and very appealing. It’s a really good travel size.

There are ten different shades of the Real! Duo Eyeshadow Blender available, all containing a duo of colors, in satin, sheen and soft matte finishes: Beyond Nude; Naughty Neutral; Bombshell Brown; Brazen Bronze; Easy Smokin’; Sexy Smokin’; Provocative Plum; Kinky Khaki; Mauve Mischief; and Foxy Faune.They’re Real! Duo eyeshadow Blender Brazen Bronze, a warm duet of soft gold and satin bronze. Perfect for Hazel eyes! They’re Real! Duo eyeshadow Blender Bombshell Brown, a neutral duet of soft matte taupe & sable brown.
Texture:
Shiny powder eyeshadow, easy to apply.
Application:
Slide the Blender across your shadow duo. Put the blender in the inner corner of your eye with the darker shade along your lash-line, then sweep across your lid! Wipe the sponge with a tissue after each use. Repeating the slide & sweep if you want a more pronounced look. You can also apply the lighter shade along your lash-line and the deeper shade in the crease of your eyelid.
Pro-tip: application is relatively easy but needs to be controlled a bit. Take the time to blend the eyeshadow for a perfect look.
Effect:
The brand claims the crease-resistant long-wear formula lasts 12-hours. It is also very proud of its custom ShadowBlender, stating it fits your eye shape to ensure expert eyeshadow application every time.
We found first of all, that this eyeshadow collection is really pigmented, which is what most of us are looking for. The shades are really true to what you see in the package and all of the different duos are a perfect combo of colors. We were also very happy by the ease of use. For someone who isn’t that great at doing a smokey eye or a cut crease, this eyeshadow makes it quite easy. Finally, we found that when well applied, this Benefit They’re Real! Duo Eyeshadow Blender, the color lasts for a long time, without a need to reapply.
The lighter colors are perfect for a natural look with just a bit of shimmer! All the shades are quite suitable for everyday wear.
Price:
This product weighs 3.5 g and is priced at 33$. It is less expensive than similar range products such as NARS’ Cosmetics Duo Eyeshadow, available in forty different shades, priced at 44$ for 4g – noting that the NARS product comes without an application brush or blender – or Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Eyeshadow Duo priced at 50$ for 3.5grams.

The concept of the product is very creative and the colors are natural, however, when applying it, it’s not practical at all and definitely have to retouch it with another eyeshadow brush in order to show properly on the eyes

This is a very effective and easy pallete from benefit. Beyond Nude is my favorite shade where it suits the light brown skin color. It is easy to apply and i think it is very important to have it since it saves time and gives a natural and elegant look.

Very easy to use, especially when i’m in a hurry. Not the look I typically go for since i am not really into shimmers but the fact that it is so easy to apply ( it takes litteraly 30 seconds) withought having to even blend the edges or anything makes me reach for this over other palettes.

I really like this eyeshadow , and what i most like about it is that it gives you the natural eyeshadow look within seconds without the need of blending and using any kind of brushe. It is perfect for fast natural make up.

I’m not a big fan of this product. The shadows are pigmented and pretty however I can’t see myself choosing this palette over others. The shade I received (Brazen Bronze) is very shimmery, neutral, and universal however I believe I can achieve the same look using my bronzer and highlighter or using any other palette I have. The concept might be great for a teenager who’s just learning how to use makeup however I would not purchase it. I passed it on to my mom as she doesn’t usually wear eyeshadow, she’s finding it easy to use.

It’s beyond easy to get bigger, sexier eyes with these perfectly paired eyeshadows. The packaging is very classy as usual; eyeshadow mini palette feels and looks luxurious with a heavy feeling to it. Also, it is provided with a mirror which makes it great for traveling. Of course the pigmentation is on point, the colors do show immediately on the lid and do not fade while blending. I love it 💕

Honestly im the type of person who prefers a strong eyeshadow look, so this product wouldnt help me. I like strong pigmentation, and also i like to play with different shade of colors, so i wouldnt purchase such thing. Maybe beginners will be happy about such thing, because its handy and easy to apply if ure not an expert with makeup.

The product is lightweight , you can easily carry it in your bag. I like that the shimmers are very pigmented but the applicator is too small, it might fall from you while applying the product on your eyelids. This product is perfect if you are in a hurry, i recommend it to beginners because it’s easy to apply 2 different looks in no time.

I don’t put on eyeshadow every day mainly because it takes so much time to apply with all the steps that it takes, which is why this product was very helpful! It’s travel size and contains a mirror, so you can take it wherever you want and it won’t take a lot of space, and because the palette is divided into two compartments, one light, and one dark, you’ll only have to apply the product as it is on the brush and then apply it over your eyes, and voilà! One step eyeshadow! Very recommended.

This product has a lot of pigmentation but the way they ask us to use it is not very realistic. The crease shadow has shimmer which does not give a nice look on the eye. But the colors are very pigmented and shiny and could be used on the lid more than on the crease! The lighter shade could be used as a brow bone highlight or an inner corner highlighter.
Overall, I will use this product so that it doesnt go ro waste but would not purchase it myself

Packaging: it’s benefit=packaging is awesome. it’s so cute and tiny so you can easily carry it around, and that’s what it’s made for, a quick-one-swipe eyeshadow to always have with you. so it definitely fits its function.
the application: it’s so smooth and buildable and sooooo easy to apply as they said. one little problem with the application, THE APPLICATOR! we all have different eye shapes and sizes, one applicator cannot suit us all. my eyelid zone is pretty big for this applicator, so one swipe wasn’t enough, i had to build it up so it could cover all my eyelid.

I found the packaging very cute and convenient, this shadow duo will fit in any bag and is so easy to take around with you. The application is seamless and easy to use on the go! I received this eyeshadow in the Ounousa December box. I found that it was very pigmented and it’s sommoth texture allowed it to apply smoothly on the eye. The duo gave a nice effect and and allowed it to blend easily. I found that it was easier to apply using the finger rather than the applicator since it was too thick.

“I think I’m starting to see a pattern with me and the They’re real! Benefit line. They’re underwhelming for me and this was no exception. Pros: the color was beautiful and the product lasted all day on my lids (I wore it at 6:30 in the morning to travel to Dubai in and didn’t take it off until around 10 p.m.). Also, the pigmentation is gorgeous. Cons: the applicator is not a one-size-fits-all kind of thing. There are so many eye shapes that this cannot possibly cater to them all. It’s not that user friendly, as it’s super small and no way covers my lids, and you have to twist and turn it to use it on the other eyelid after you’ve swiped it on the first because the grip and the sponge need to swipe the product in the right direction (dark shade at the bottom and light shade at the top) and it doesn’t work for both eyes if you’re using the same side of the applicator. I’m rambling but point is, it’s too much work for something that claims to be a quick and easy product. The end result wasn’t as well defined as the ad made it out to be.”

Sadly the actual sponge that comes with it didn’t do much for me, and I found applying it with my own shadow brush does it more justice. the packaging is cute, compact and comes with a handy mirror. “A question that always crosses my mind : Do men or Women brainstorm and come up with ideas for new makeup gadgets and products? For the Benefit They’re Real! Duo Eyeshadow Blender, i am sure that it was a woman ! Why? Only women know how important time is in our lives! Of ALL the self products that i have used to make my life easier, this would be the best ! Firstly, it is very compact: fits in the purse, in the driver’s cabinet in my car, it can even fit in my pocket ! (though not very practical). Every year, on our family vacation, i forgo taking eyeshadows in my makeup pack because they relatively take up a lot of space and i have to fit in other more essential items for my son. It makes me thrilled that now, on my vacation i can have an easy eyeshadow look that i can easily apply (in under 2 minutes in the car, hotel room, or even on the beach ;)) without having the burden of carrying a heavy weighing item around. The eyeshadow is well pigmented, comes in two complementing colors, and with a blender all for easy use. Having hooded eyes, i found it so much easier applying eyeshadow with the blender contrary to applying it with a regular brush. “The Perfect eye shadow when you are running late. Comes in a small attractive packaging, your ultimate travel buddy. So Easy to apply and saves a lot of time. I was so excited to try this product but once I tried it I was disappointed. I have it in Bronze color. The eyeshadow colors are beautiful and pigmented but the blender is not handy at all !! I wasn’t comfortable using it so it was not an easy and quick process for me. I replaced the blender with my own brushes so the whole idea of it was gone cause I have bronze shadows in others palletes.

“I received Benefit They’re Real Duo Eyeshadow Blender in the shade Bombshell Brown from Ounousa Reviews to try out. This product has a special feature where the eyeshadow colors are aligned horizontally above each other and meant to be used with the provided blender which is huge and enables us to blend both colors while applying to the lid. Packaging: the eyeshadow mini palette feels and looks luxurious with a heavy feeling to it. Also, it is provided with a mirror which makes it great for traveling. Of course the pigmentation is on point, the colors do show immediately on the lid and do not fade while blending, this shade has a sheen finish to it so it is not completely matte. Experience: I found the application with the blender a bit complex at first but it took some trials to get used to it. What’s amazing is that you get a finished eyelook in few minutes without the need to fix and blend several shades. I found it best to pack the colors on the lid with more than one application to get the best results. It is definitely an amazing product with a creative concept and it does get in handy for eyeshadow application on the go if you’re tight on schedule.”

Overall I didn’t fall in love with this product. I was first interested to try it but the applicator is not handy at all. The eyeshadows are pigmented so I tried applying them with my own brushes but the space in the palette is not very handy. So I didn’t use it again.

“If you’re anything like me, meaning that if you always struggle with applying proper and decent eyeshadow, then you will love this product! If you’re in a hurry and need a quick fix of freshness, whether it’s day or night, this eyeshadow blender will come to the rescue. Along with the small sponge, all you have to do is swipe along the eyeshadow and then apply the product on your eyelids… it literally is as simple as that! “Loved this product! Earth colors are a must for the winter. The shimmery and light glittery shade is very suitable for the festive season. The colors are a bit light though, so if you are looking for a very intense look,maybe u can use a stronger eyeshadow beneath and then apply this product for a brighter look to make the eyes look wider. “I didn’t really like the concept or idea of the blender as I generally prefer to perfect my eyeshadow by myself. It also just doesn’t really apply very well with the blender and can look a bit messy. Still, it can however be fixed after swiping by blending again with a brush, but I don’t think that’s the idea of it in the first place, and in case I would much rather use another palette with a better shade variety, and even for much less.”
