I’ve used all the lip conditioners in the World because of my dry lips, yet this is one of the best. Great product, it softens and moisturizes dry lips, yet isn’t a “healer” to extremely chapped lips. It tends to condition rather than regenerate.

It has to be applied generously and left overnight to give a noticeable effect preferably to be used everyday not only when the lips are very dry or bleeding because it will not give an immediate effect

OUR EDITORIAL REVIEW

Packaging:

The “Lip Conditioner” by Caudalie comes in a white container with a purple grape design on it. The brand and product information are printed in green and purple on the tube.

Texture:

This product has a buttery texture.

Smell:

The “Lip Conditioner” has a subtle vanilla and grape scent.

Skin Type:

This product is designed for all skin types. However, it is recommended as a moisturizer for dry lips.

Effect:

The “Lip Conditioner” by Caudalie is manufactured without any toxic ingredients. It is enriched in antioxidant properties and shea butter. We tested this product on dry lips and after a few applications, we noticed that this lip treatment made parched lips look plumper and livelier. In fact, the lips’ color was more vibrant, and they felt softer to the touch.

Additionally, the “Lip Conditioner” does not coat the lips with a greasy layer like a lot of other lip balms. However, it does make the lips feel sticky and it is never fully absorbed by the skin of the lips. While the “Lip Conditioner” made the lips look heathier, the effects of the product were not long-lasting, and we had to keep applying the lip balm after every couple of hours. After a week, we felt that the “Lip Conditioner” does not act as a treatment like the brand claims, instead the product is best used to make the lips look plumper and not to moisturize and smoothen chapped lips.

Price:

The “Lip Conditioner” by Caudalie retails at $12/4.5 mL which is a median price compared to other products like L’Occitane en Provence’s “Shea Butter Lip Balm Stick” which sells at $9/4.5 mL and Kiehl’s “Butterstick Lip Treatment” which retails at $19.5/4 mL.
