Packaging:
The packaging is sophisticated and rather unusual. It comes in an external cardboard with a picture of lips of the same color as the one of the lipstick inside. This helps you identify the color and final effect on the lips. The lip gloss itself comes in a square cut transparent tube with the Huda Beauty name and “Liquid Matte” printed on it and has a black cap that enables the tube to close firmly. As for the brush, it has an angled tip for an easier application and distribution of the product on the lips.
Available colors:
This lipstick comes in 25 shades (for the Matte finish), some of which are nude and work for daytime wear and some are darker colored and thus work for night time such as the red “Heartbreaker” or the plum “Material Girl”.
Tested Color:
Sugar Mama, a sweet peachy nude.
Smell:
This lipstick has a relatively strong smell of vanilla. This smell can sometimes be found annoying especially for the ones of you who are irritated by fragrance.
Texture:
This lipstick is liquid and is easily and evenly spreadable on the lips.
Effect:
Whenever the lipstick dries on the lips, it has a matte effect. The colors are highly pigmented so there is no need to apply several layers of the product to get the full coverage.
This lipstick has a particular feature that we highlighted, which is the fact that it takes around 60 seconds once applied to dry and to have a matte finish, while most of the matte lipsticks we have already tried are much quicker to dry, nearly upon application. We consider this to be an advantage as it makes it easier to apply and layer it up without getting a crusty look. The texture is creamy and comfortable and does not dry the lips as other matte lipsticks would do.
In terms of wearability, the brand advocates an “amazing staying power” and a long lasting formula. However we noticed that the color tends to fade and wear off when eating/drinking, so application needs retouching. And it is not completely transfer-proof as communicated, however it is much better than a lot of other lipsticks that leave stains pretty much everywhere.
Price:
This lipstick comes in a 5ml container and retails at 20 USD. The price is comparable to other liquid and matte lipsticks with the same size from competing brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kat Von D and Tarte. It is also less expensive than Kylie Cosmetics’ Matte Liquid lipsticks (17 USD for the standalone “Single” of 3.25ml). Huda Beauty is a good choice if you’re looking for a matte lipstick with a pigmented color that keeps your lips hydrated. But if you are looking for a cheaper option, you can consider the NYX Liquid Matte Lipsticks that are sold for 7$ in a 4 ml container.

Just gave it 3 stars for colors cz all are pretty but hate matte lipsticks make my lips look even smaller and more chapped than what they are already i ended up throwing away all of the shades i have. Not recomended except if you like matte lipsticks

Some people might think it’s a bit expensive for a lipstick but I’d tell them it’s worth every penny. I mean finding a lipstick that is creamy at first, easy to apply, matte, buildable is so rare these times. I love the packaging and I love everything about huda beauty lipsticks to be honest. The only negative thing as Aya mentioned is that it’s transferable especially when you eat or drink but to me it’s fine because I don’t mind applying it over and over again as I loved it. My two fav shades are trophy wife and sugar mama.

I will talk about this product from different perspectives.
packaging: it is very attractive and chic the glazed hard plastic and the black lid are bomb
Color range: they have beautiful range of shades that starts from nudes, darker browns, plums and burgundies and reds.
Smell: the worst part of it. It has a strong chemical smell adding a stronger vanilla fragrance to cover the latter, but it doesn’t linger.
Payoff: very pigmented, it applies beautifully and very thinly. It doesn’t crumble or crack. Very long lasting however it is not transfer- proof, and it fades when eating or drinking but it layers up beautifully and seamlessly. It is a bit drying but personally it is not an issue for me, I despise a hydrating or creamy lippies. It sits in the lines and emphasizes them but again personally I love this, I don’t hate when my lips lines show up.
Price: I think that the price is good for the payoff, personally I find that they are the best lip stains in the market along with Sephora’s and Kat Von D’s
Application: the doe foot applicator is not my favorite, I prefer the applicator of Giorgio Armani and Maybelline because they’re pointy and help me apply the product on the lines without using a liner, while the Huda’s lipstick I need to use liner to perfect the application.
I have them in 3 shades, Bombshell, Muse and Spice Girl
Bombshell is my go it is a peachy beige nude, Muse is a taupy rose or dusty rose with cool undertone
Spice Girl is a dark brown with yellow undertone

With all the competition out there, HudaBeauty lipstick managed to maintain great quality and keep its customers loyal. I’ve been using several shades including bombshell and muse for the past 2 years. While I like the colors and finishing, I think it creates lines and dries your lips.

I just Love this Lipstick ! My Fav shade is bombshell it is the best everyday long lasting lipstick. It has a thick texture so it fills all the lines on your lips making them appear healthy and full !

“I have this lipstick in two shades: Muse and Gossip Girl. Muse is my favorite and I have tried to search in other brands for the same/similar color and I never did find. The colors are extremely unique and the texture is to die for. Yes they are matte but it is such a lightweight lipstick and not as sticky as other matte lipsticks might be. Alone, it isn’t as long lasting as it would be if you had on a lip liner. Other than that, one tube of the Huda beauty lipstick lasted for a year or so. One dip into the product is more than what you need to put on your lips.”

“I definitely agree with everything you said in the description box of the liquid lip. About the transfer proof, it is transfer proof BUT once you eat something that contains oils it s normal that the lipstick will not be transfer proof anymore, because oils tend to remove any makeup on our face, kylie’s liquid lip are more long lasting than the huda beauty one, but i still prefer huda because it s more comfortable and not a drying liquid lip.”

The best so far!! What i like in this liquid lipstick it’s the light textur melting on your mouth with its long lasting characteristics!! I use the medusa shade its the best for girls with black hair????
